Thanks for the fixed blade review, Dirk! 👏 😁 I have one Toor knife, the Jank Shank. They tend to use too thick a stock for these smaller fixed blades, charge too much, but are a developing company which should improve over time, I feel. Truthfully companies like Microtech make a superior product in the same price range for fixed blades. Witness their socom fixed blade series. 🔥👍🗡️

Thanks for the insight my friend. New company to me so still figuring them out.

I disagree m390 isn’t the greatest steel for a fixed blade. It chips very easily!

Jank shank s is my favorite from Toor. Small, sturdy, utilitarian AND it fidgets.

Nice review, do you have a link for that forever knife?

I carry only fixed blades . I had a microtech ultratech and a Gerber 06, and a hogue break and fail. I really like my TOOR darter it is AWESOME, but I also EDC a WINKLER belt knife.

Seems to suffer the same mine did where the pivot is not machined the same on both sides.
@DirkWerning2 жыл бұрын
I just think it’s a quality and attention to detail issue.
@P.I.S.OnYou.2 жыл бұрын
@@DirkWerning they replaced mine twice and it still had the same issue. They told me the fixed the machining issue but based on your upload I assume you got it around that time they have yet to fix that. All that being said its my favorite looking fixed blade and size. Unfortunately I won't spend that much money on something that has very visible defects. Small company or not, demanding a premium price demands a premium product.

I like some of Toor knives designs but I have heard about way to many QC issues for me to pull the trigger on one. That being said it is a nice looking knife.
@DirkWerning3 жыл бұрын
Thanks. My first and only one so far. I’ll try a couple others snd see how the QC works out.

@@DirkWerning If tactical knives are your thing Spartan Blades makes some really high quality knives and none of the mentioned QC issues.

I think that rough edge on the butt of the knife is to serve as and fire striker for ferro rods.
@DirkWerning3 жыл бұрын
Hmm I guess that’s possible. However I still don’t think it should be uncomfortable to the user. They could have left an angle like that on the spine of the blade. That might have been better.

It looks cool but the issues you've pointed out, I think should be altered for that price for sure! Thanks Dirk! 👍🏻

Thanks I agree. I think it’s cool BUT they need some attention to detail here.

looks like it has an uneven grind in the flats toward the middle of the blade.

Appreciate your honest review. I almost pulled the trigger on this knife but I am not digging the beak shaped pommel. Honestly, I am uncertain why it is curved to begin with. Adding insult to injury is the sharpness you pointed out. I went Winkler Operator instead of this.

Toor has some egregious QC issues. Inexcusable for knives in this price range. They'll never get my money.

Good looking knife! I do agree on the points you made for the price I think it should be a bit better. However always glad to see American made knives. Great review 👍

The knife looks good...save a couple items (that you pointed out). The blade stock is too thick, the hook pommel is too sharp, and the sheath is no bueno. There are multiple sheath makers that make fantastic inside the waistband sheaths.
@jusme8060 Жыл бұрын
The qc issues have always turned me away from the company. Some cool designs, too. I'd support a small custom maker with passion and pride in whT they do for a similar price point or less. Just my two cents. Lots of great makers out here.
