Me and my sister had tooth toons. What I didn't like about them is that you had to keep them pressed against your teeth, or the song would restart. So naturally when you're switching from brushing your lower teeth to your upper teeth, you end up hearing the beginning of the song over and over again.

In elementary school, we used to anonymous gift exchange for the holiday season. A kid in my class, who had braces, was given a Tooth ToothToon. A few days later, he said his mom threw it out because the vibrations of the music with his braces made his teeth get semi-shocked, and his mom thought they were dangerous.

I had a Disney toothbrush when I was a kid that would play music as you brushed. I have no idea what song it was, it wasn't from any movie I had seen and it was actually kind of creepy. Anyway, eventually something happened to it that caused the music to become more and more distorted, just piling on the creepy factor to the point of me crying and refusing to brush my teeth because I was so scared of it. So much for making your child enjoy toothbrushing lol.

The Wikipedia list you had was actually missing a few. It did not list Star Wars or the Indiana jones tooth tune. The Star Wars toothtune actually had a unique tune at the end that was not apart of the original John Williams composition. I honestly hadn't thought about tooth tunes since 2008 before your video. Great video btw!

Oh yeah, I remember seeing these at JC Pennys (or was it Kohls?) circa 2010. I vividly remember seeing All-Star by Smash Mouth being one of the ones featured in a sea of late 2009 pop songs included with the brushes. Even though I was quite a bit beyond the target demographic age when I saw it, I remember being really intrigued by how it worked. And even back then, All-Star had its early meme phase solidified so I briefly thought about getting it for a split second. But I just shook my head and walked away. Had I known about how the song technology worked, I might have gotten it just to see how it did in action. I too actually thought it just had a mini speaker on the bottom. I’m kinda sad these didn’t take off with kids (or at least stay ongoing these days). I’d probably be all over these if they were around in my elementary school days.

My jaw dropped when I saw it because I already had a Queen one, but KISS was my favorite band of all time, and still is. I got home and just turned it on.
