I remember one time my sister stopped using the Talking Angela app because the character apparently had "cameras in its eyes" that would spy on you. In terms that actually make sense, the app would use the camera on your device to spy on you. Of course, a quick Google search rendered this moot, and it was regarded as nothing more than a childish playground rumor. I remember about a month later she continued using the Talking Tom series of apps as well.

Of course its fake; although this part is a small true story. A long time ago when I was just 14 and had an IPod of my very own (Me being 18 now) I was loving my Ipod, So I got Talking Angela on it like most of the kids in my school were rashing about. Now I played with her and talked for a bit until I said something (I dont Rememebrr what) But she said something about the Red Light District. I asked her what it is and she said "Nothing silly" and when I continued to ask she said things like "I dont know what that is, you dont mind telling me right?" It's interesting that rumors about games and media back in the day scared people so much. It was the fear of the unknown taking over people's minds just by a simple rumor, short and sweet that it was, triggering people to think in such ways. Nowadays with so much information on the internet, creepypastas and rumors such as these are mostly debunked easily or not thought as creepy anymore. Though those Dr. Quack edits still feel unsettling to me. Like an edgy flash animation invaded a game to enact violence on the peaceful inhabitants.

Recently there was a rumor on Roblox that a hacker named "Jenna" would "hack all girls on Roblox" on a specific date and if you were a girl you had to "change your avatar to a boy or not play on that day". *(I know it's stupid but what can I say, 8 year olds :P)* Suprisingly, a lot of people believed this, there was a account that was rumored to be the hackers account, and I remember the game the account made having 3k players constantly in it for like a week or something. The day finally came, and to no one's suprise, nothing happened. Scary how kids are so naive.

When I was in 2nd grade, my teacher had one of these and the entire class basically mad decisions about what webkinz does or whatever. But one day I was bored at home, I logged on to it and changed the password. When I got back to school the next day we all sat around the screen waiting for the teacher to log back into it. I got too scared I was about to get caught that I asked to go to the bathroom. When I came back to the classroom, everyone was freaking out because someone changed the password. In my childhood, we had the infamous "100 Death" rumor. There's a game on the app store called "Wild Cheetah Sim". It was all the rage from 1st grade, and still is to some of the younger kids in my school. It was a game where you leveled up a cheetah to gain abilities, helper cheetahs, and stuff like that. There were enemies, like the frigging RHINOS, which I still hate to this day, and stuff like rabbits, etc. You can level up your health, strength, and stamina, and when you got to higher levels, you could get new abilities such as a Jump (a stun attack that can both help you run away or get closer to other animals). Anyways, the rumor. One of my friends in line as a child told me that she had heard that when you get to level 100, you have to find a key, and when you collect it, all your cheetah friends run away as you get ambushed in the area. She told me that it was called EVIL MODE, and nobody had beaten it yet. So being a Wild Cheetah Sim connoisseur, I decided to get to 100 levels. But in the end, I never did. I'm probably going to try again someday, but for now, it remains a mystery. (also if you wanna play the game is made by turbo rocket games, highly recommend)
