The notion of her being dragged into the Hellevator and sent to inevitable doom really terrified and saddened me as a child. I used to watch this movie repeatedly as a kid because it was the perfect mix of sad and happy, tragedy and comedy, and often simultaneously. This is one of the best ever children's films.

I love the message behind this movie. I randomly got the urge to watch it this. that must've been because it was something that needed to be reiterated to me. You have to hold on to your youthful side, your innocence and stay open to love. The only way in the world good things will come in. I just love this message and you can be any age to receive it. I was just a kid when I saw this and now being an adult. It makes me smile so hard because I revisited my kid self.

It probably is Bonnie, but for more than ten years I believed that this version was by Trick Pony. Just looked up facts; they didn't form their band until 2 years after the movie. Still think maybe their version is closest to this, though without the heavy country twang from the lead singer.

The ending is so sweet and so full of paradoxes. So if she saw Bobby in the dentist chair, then she had been visting the world in the past. Yet she saw her friend packing the boxes in her home. Also like the rest of the kids at Bobby's school would remember her as the fairy. But the sweet ending makes us forget the plotholes.
@eichy8152 жыл бұрын
I think we're supposed to draw the conclusion that when Bobby forgets Katharine, all of the memories of his classmates, teachers, and the parents (witnessing her) are likewise erased. The boxes getting packed in her home were probably part of an alternate future created before Katharine was reinserted into the timeline.
