Guys I just got my braces on yesterday, and while I don’t know much, I do know about putting braces on and 1st Pain. The braces don’t hurt when they put them on, but on the day you are supposed to get your braces (mine was July 6th, so let’s put that as a example) So on July 6th at the time before you leave, I recommend drinking a big glass of water. Because the braces don’t hurt to be put on, but they put this huge mouth thing over your lips and in some conditions of your teeth (I got them) they’ll put this soft thing the shape of normal bottom teeth and they will tell you to bite down on it. Plus, I don’t know for others but my mouth gets horribly dry when I have my lips open without closing it for too long. So I recommend water. And then get prepared for the ✨ P A I N ✨ I also kinda recommend eating popcorn like, 2 days before you get it because you can’t eat popcorn once you get braces. I made the stupidest decision of my life and turned down popcorn because I was “preparing to get braces”. Oh what a horrible mistake. I cant eat popcorn for _2_ years now and i already miss popcorn! I ONLY HAD BRACES FOR A DAY! And now, the PAIN There’s going to be soreness in your mouth, maybe 15 minutes after you get them on to about 4 days. I’m on my 2nd day so I have FREAKING SO MUCH PAIN IN MY MOUTH AS IM WRITING THIS! But don’t worry , its just your teeth getting adjusted. For brushing? I recommend a electric toothbrush. My orthodontist recommended it to me and I got one. But get prepared. One advice: OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND CURL YOUR LIPS WHILE BRUSHING, AND TRY *NOT* TO TOUCH THE BOTTOM OF YOUR 2 (or 1, I’m not you so idk) TOP TEETH WHILE BRUSHING! I swear, it hurts way too much! And just remember, that your teeth will look great and you can eat anything you want and you get to brag that you lived through this and you can brush without pain and you can live your life normally once you get them off! Good luck! 🍀 You will really need it!

@@kmaryncaldwell6040 as soon as you get them on and for about 3 hours after is perfectly fine. After that and for the rest of the next day you will hate your life it KILLLS. But from day 3 it improves and I'm only on day 6 and I've gotten used to them already. I do have massive ulcers tho so make sure you use wax Hope this helps

January 11th is my 1 year with braces anniversary I got those same ties on my bottom teeth when I got my bottom braces put on in August, but 2 weeks ago they changed the ties, witch I was really excited about they also started me on class 2 elastics, I still have another year and a half to go in braces ❤❤❤❤ I love this content getting to see others braces journeys ❤❤❤

I got braces a few weeks ago, and it's 100% not as bad as I thought! 1. The process doesn't hurt 2. Eating is a bit annoying (very..) but not painful if you're careful 3. It only hurts for 2-3 days (Not a lot, just aches) 4. You can't feel them after a week or so

I got brackets on all my teeth apart from my lower 5ths or something were I have springs instead and it feels fine I just took ibuprofen for pain like 3 hours after. Keep trying to get my lips under the brackets and panicking they're falling off tho so I should probably stop 😂

for those of u wondering why she is bleeding it’s bc they flossed first and bc she didn’t floss perfectly it started bleeding due to bacteria. This is common and does not hurt! (ik bc my mom cleans teeth)

Exactly right my friend! Usually when the "mouth" is bleeding, it's basically the gums that are bleeding and it's because of the Gingivitis ( Gingivitis is the earliest stage of gum disease. It happens when plaque and bacteria build up on your teeth and cause infection. Common symptoms include red, swollen, bleeding gums. Treatments include regular dental cleanings and improved oral hygiene at home between visits.) and that's the real reason and more than pain it's a sign of your body telling you something is not right! Oh girl u r lucky... my teeth were VERY tight as soon as i got them on, the back brackets were cutting my cheeks, 2 teeth hurt abt half hour after then all of them hurt 2-3 hours after for 3 days majorly then 3 more days. Couldnt brush properly for 3 days, couldnt floss my teeth. BUT NOW I FORGET THEY ARE EVEN ON HAD THEM FOR ABT 2 MONTHS. TRUST THE PROCESS.

Gingivitis is a non-destructive type of periodontal disease, but untreated gingivitis can progress to periodontitis. Does it hurt when you eat with braces on? don't worry, It doesn't hurt, this appointment it's really nice and easy maybe afterward you might feel a little bit of soreness but you get used to really fast in 2-3 days 2. How long do they require time till your teeth are straight? every case it's different it can go from 18 months to 36 months or more.... 3. What age can you get braces in? It depends on the case but you can get start your treatment as young as 6 years old and you can wear braces as an adult as well 4. When do you get used to braces?
