You people really need to start looking up the songs instead of looking up videos ABOUT the songs. This isn’t the creators fault. It’s yours. Learn how to look up what you’re wanting to see. Also learn how copyrights work… he literally CANT play more than he’s playing. Jesus Christ it is terrifying knowing you people vote

Mac Davis who you mentioned previously wrote the Elvis Presley hit In The Ghetto. The Roberta Flack one was originally a Folk song, written by British Folk singer Ewan MacColl in the early sixties, after he moved to the States, and first gave it to Peggy Seeger who was the younger sister of Folk singer Pete Seeger. Over the next few years, it was covered by other Folk artists The Kingston Trio, Gordon Lightfoot and Peter, Paul & Mary. Around the time that she recorded her insipid MOR version, Elvis Presley recorded a much stronger version. As for the greatest 1972 hit, I would say it was My Ding A Ling, a UK number one for Chuck Berry.

The stoic commentary is enough to put anyone off from listening. Glad the 1972 list of top hits in the UK was better. And yes Melanie, Neisson and McLean where all hits but for the OTHERS! Nothing to write home about. If you are going to compile a list of bests, at least sound as if you mean it.

I agree with you 150%. In some instances in all the videos (70s, 71's 72's, etc), the songs can be barely heard. I was born in the mid 50's, so I am familiar with all these hits; but did injustice even though you had good intent.
