I like CaseIH combines n tractor set up with tracks, that would be my dream farm operation. In vid I NH CX 8 and Challenge 1000 both rare sight in Australia as new combines are rotor and Fendt colour is used instead of Challenge yellow. Claas is not big in our area nor is Gleaner but do see some old combines. CaseIH and JD are common, MF 8000 / 9000 series, NH CR are others you see. I did see CX 780 in NSW dealership which is rare. If you lucky you might see Russian, Fiat, Laverda, Arbos, Gloria, Horwood Bagshaw, Duetz Fahr SP and PTO combines from 70’s to 80’s wrecking yard. When I was kid couldn’t wait for break down that meant I go on road trip to find parts at wrecking yard which was over 2 hours away. Love harvesting 👍
@bigtractorpower6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing all this great detail on Australia. Is Challenger retired from Australia the way it was in Europe in favor of Fendt. In Europe the Challenger tracked MT700 and MT800 tractors are sold under the Fendt colors and brand. I was wondering if that was the same in Australia. The 1000 series is sold under both brands in the U.S. I would like to film a Massey combine in wheat.
@jamieshields95216 жыл бұрын
bigtractorpower Challenge in Australia only sell track models and Fendt sell high hp tractors no track tractors or sprayer yet I think we will have to wait. I see new AGCO combine Ideal is Fendt in Northern America but Australia not sure if it’s Fendt, MF yet, but I bet it will be Fendt like USA because easy sell then MF name. Few years ago at a field days I ask top AGCO boss which combine did they sell most A series Gleaner or MF 9500. AGCO boss replied Gleaner 6 - 1 MF and look at resale price Gleaner hold up in value over same age MF combines. Challenge name will disappear away for Fendt

bigtractorpower Well MacDon does make a very nice product and good for them to sell them all over North America and around the world! Makes a Guy like myself very proud as it’s another Manitoba, Canada product!! Nice video. I liked to see the new machines in the field , like the JD S790s in the last segment. The NH CR8.85 intrigued me. Do that farm bale their straw for some purpose? Video idea: Show the process of harvesting the wheat, windrowing the straw, baling the straw and hauling it off the field to storage for later or immediate use.

Seeing the 7 Combines was a great filming opportunity. The end segment of the video shows the same combines shutting down for the day. If you do a quick count there are 8 machines parked. One of the 8 had already parked for the day when the other 7 crosses the field. The combine I think edges out the others on harvesting quality is the Gleaner S Series. My favorite of the 10 to film this year was the Claas 750TT and Challenger 1038 because there was a Claas Big Baler rolling right behind them. It was neat to see all those machines together.
