hotshot927able thank you for actually trying. My band instructor literally has no clue how to write or instruct marching percussion. All his music is the most common drumset beat ( rim rim tap rim rim rim tap as eighth notes) and we had to get one of college players to instruct our section

Trust me as a percussionist studying music Ed. there are far better ways to prepare yourself to teach percussion. Stick tricks like these should almost never be used in marching band or other high school settings. The students who learn these, learn them for themselves and for solos you won’t need to know them yourself
