It depends on your financial capabilities at the moment. If you can afford the 320d I don't see why you shouldn't buy the car. Sure it won't be as fuel efficient as the Corolla but it's got a great level of prestige and the car has already depreciated in value so you won't lose anymore more money you have already put in.
