IAmFozzy100 my dear uninformed brother the oldest civilizations has everything to do with who invented what. Any student of history knows that civilizations were builded off the foundation of the nations and civilizations before them especially civilizations in those regions of the world. Do you really believe that Mesopotamia just came into existence, it and all the other civilizations in that region including Greek and Rome. It is easy to see when you eliminate looking at everything through the eyes of Europeans. They are not the only people in the world and they did not invent history, they simply wrote about it and made themselves the center. I will help you discover the truth, ask any biologists to list the ages of each race on earth and the you can determine which race has been here the longest. When you see which race has been here the longest you will be able to determine that group’s potential for human contribution. The Africans had boiled the pyramids before there was a Europe, white people or Mesopotamia

When I was young I lived in the city my whole life. One summer break i went to visit my grandparents in the village ( I'm from Ghana). The village is at a remote area that the most technological thing they have is a small radio. We went to the farm one day and I saw people making alcohol using the process of distillation. They extract raw fermented juice from a palm tree. They boil the juice at a high temperature and connect tubes to a river and other tubes to an empty barrel which the distilled alcohol fill into. I was shocked how they came by that knowledge because none of those guys can read. They never had any contact with western education. My grandpa told me his great grandpa said they have been using that method for many years. My grandpa is 91 years.

@Karen Maynard Yes, thank you. I think I've seen some of those but will look at the rest (I am reading some now). There are also very early iron smelting dates from southeast Nigeria (one mentioned in the video I believe); from Lejja (ca. 2,000 BC, found in Pamela Eze-Uzomaka's 2009 study, linked below) and Opi (ca. 750 BC.) also in southest Nigeria, both of which archaeologist Augustin Holl in your link also mentions. There are also the ca. 800-900 BC iron dates (from the site of Gbabiri in the Central Africa Republic). The archaeometallurgist Manfred Eggert, in his essay/chapter "Early iron in West and Central Africa" as part of the book "Nok: African Sculpture in Archaeological Context" (pages 51-59) also concludes that iron metallurgy in sub-Saharan Africa was probably independently invented.

ALL FACTS - That is a very good point my friend. It absolutely blows my mind when it is established that AFRICA is the mother/father land of humanity and why we still dispute their way of living and inventions they did to survive as a human civilisation where it spread to Greeks, Romans and the western world.

HAT The Vatican has a museum that’s not open to the public that holds the most precious loot from Jewish Temple in Jerusalem one of the items is the Temple Menorah. Nobody expects this loot to be returned to Israel. Most European museums would be empty if they were obligated to return the root. Europeans like Belgians, French and British take less heat for looting other countries today than they should. U.S. takes more heat than UK and Spain the two countries that brutalized and colonized half the world for centuries.

I agree! I am also tld (wish I knew this b4 my travel there), that lots & lots of significant, extremely important cultural knowledge, heritage, including artifacts are hidden away somewhere in France! & in order to have access to view/learn about these hidden gems, a rigorous process is encountered after months of prep of the interested individual 😒 I REALLY wish I knew this b4 going back in 2015 😤 bcuz all of that "daunting" footwork would've been a personal marathon for moi 😉

Thank you for another great video Derek! I have a suggestion for you, and this has probably crossed your mind anyway, but just thought I'd throw it out there. I was looking at some TedX videos today, and they have a playlist called "A day in the life," where they depict a day in the life of someone in an ancient society through these really cool animated videos. Of course the only one they have up there from Africa is ancient Egypt, which, don't get me wrong, was awesome. It depicted a day in the life of Peseshet! I definitely enjoyed it, but I couldn't help but imagine what a series like that focusing specifically on the African continent would be like:). And since you're such a great artist/animator......

Agreed! Also, Please research 'narcissitic personality disorder' (NPD) / 'cluster-B'; and know that they are the 'root of all evil' (especially 'ESFJ/ESTJ-narcissits'; Myers-Briggs reference, look it up)! European 'ESFJ' are the worst personality type, and they are responsible for inventing 'racism' and colonization! It is in their neuro-psychology!! The are extremely 'manipulative' and often use 'looking pretty' to distract others from the witch's mind-games / mind-rape, e.g. gaslighting, playing the victim or damsel in distress, creating 'flying-monkeys', and paying others to attack (or at times kill) someone for her. When caught, she will use her minions as scapegoats. European ESFJ are notorious for this especially in a racist context, e.g. Elliott Till. Spread the word.

Great job and eloquently explained as usual. The Afrikan contributions to medicine could have been more extensive and especially on surgical medical practitioners like Imhotep. Not only master builder and mathmatician, he is considered the father of scientific medicine. Who's stele show surgical instruments that are still in use today. Except that our Khemitic ancestors used obsidian blades for their operations because it doesn't leave scars. You could have spoke on the esoteric subject of Khemitic use of electricity. Proof of it is not only the elaborate ceiling paintings of the universe and the fact that the soot from torches and candles are from the grave robbers a.K.a Egyptologists, but also from the wall carving in Dendara showing our ancestors with Djeds/batteries and what appears to be light bulbs. The fact is that Volta patent the battery two years after he comes out of Egypt with Napoleon. To quote Count Constantine De Volney, who also went with Napoleon, upon seeing the Great Sphinx, said, "just think that the race of Black men, today our slave and object of our scorn, is the very race to which we owe our arts, science and even the use of speech".
