I think that many of these Marvel books are easier to find in higher grades than corresponding DC books. When GOOD DC movies and shows start coming, I think we’ll see more on this list in the next year or two!
@goldenageguru6 жыл бұрын
Jared Hayes the DC keys are years earlier then Marvels keys and still can’t get a break in value and like you mentioned should be more difficult to find in high grade. Showcase 4 came out in 1956, 6 years earlier then AF 15.

@dandelatorre18704 жыл бұрын
Tom, you should do an annual recap of these Silver Age books. Primarily focus on the low grade slabs which are STILL obtainable. I saved and scraped for months but DID land a Tales of Suspense 39 2.0. I paid just under $4000, if I could afford it then so can others. This could be inspiring for your audience that feel like these keys are beyond their reach.

I've actually read a copy of FF #1, an actual physical copy that would grade at least an 8.0 (obviously I'm estimating over the decades of memory, but it was in really good shape, it was only 10 years old). Of course this was in 1972 and while the book was worth some dinero then, we never envisioned the stratosphere it would reach. In the mid 80s my LCS in Savannah had a copy of AF #15 on the wall. It was very well used, somewhere between a 1.5 and a 2.5. The owner wanted a NM price for it and it never sold (at least in the 8 or so years the shop was open). Those are the only books on that list I've actually seen in real life.

I think the comic book world should have a uniform ,agreed on percentage , of which to base values or prices on identical books with such low sales history..... would it help bring reality to shit? What u guys think?

joshua ellis totally agree with you Josh, showcase 22 should have been on this list in 9.2. Tough book and a copy sold in 2017 for almost $150k so definitely deserves to be there. Overstreet missed on that one.
@3cardick6 жыл бұрын
@@goldenageguru yeah, overstreet is kinda goofy, no offense but if they are the pulse takers of comic values, kind of dead on arrival. I think you guys are entertaining as hell, love the channel and appreciate the vids, but that Bronze video was beyond nuts. 2 completely irrelevant books make the list, Hulk falls to 2 behind Star Wars? Overstreet can call me when a copy of that variant does 6 figures like the 9.9 181. Even more egregiously, Swamp Thing (one of the 2 9.8 record holding books sold for 48,000 this year and shows up at 7, while the sole 9.8 record holder Marvel Spotlight 5 (48,500 this year) didnt even make the list!?!?! If Hulk 181, House of Secrets 92, and Marvel Spotlight 5 aren't 1-3 on that list, one of their advisers needs to call them out.
