@@Jaroku_Chronicle It is a game, a JRPG. To be exact, Cold Steel is a 3rd arc in the franchise, which has like 9 game as of now, all connected to each other and happening in the span of 4 years iirc. The first 3 games(Sky, Sky SC and Sky 3rd) are happening in the Kingdom of Liberl in 1202-1203, following a boy connected to a mysterious cult organization, and a girl working for an international guild that is taking care of monster examination, lost items and so on. The next 2 games(Zero & Ao) are happening in year 1204, in an independent state of Crossbell, which is more or less an economic power that has an international banking system, tons of entrepreneur and cops. The main protag is a 15-16 y/o detective trying to solve various mysteries. The next 4 games(Cold Steel I-IV) are about a bunch of students going to a military academy in a larger militaristic country called Erebonia in year 1204. It's East to the border of Crossbell, and North to the border of Liberl. The story focuses on a journey of those students as they are pretty much caught in a political conflict between the nations and an incoming "war." In general, the story is connected and each game is technically a sequel of the previous one. The whole plot is about a political tension between the nations, and something paranormal that seems to manipulate it from behind the scenes. Tons of plot twists, suffering, and other stuff.

If you're interested, then definitely start with Sky, unless you're not really into older graphics, then I'd recommend Cold Steel, since it has a lot of high school life elements, together with a dating/relationship system like in Persona series.
