I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

I love the fear and dread you have at the beginning when it starts getting dark and you're miles away from your camp after collecting resources or finally finding a specific resource you'd been vying for only to have the skies turn pitch black in minutes as you hastily sprint back hoping you're taking the safest path, or as I do, wind up crawling through foliage, praying nothing senses your presence.

Man, my addiction is mutations (Courtesy of Syntac) it takes so long to do, but man I got Rexes with 20 Health and 20 Melee mutations, Gigas with 14 Melee mutations and man it’s just so satisfying having such OP creatures. It’s a game where you can hate it for its bugs and grind longevity but at the same time you just want to keep going and going. ARK truly is unique in its own way eh?

I feel #2 a little too much. I wish back my good old Beach Bob times so much. Every new map that pops out, I create a new character, love that early game, Spawn in hard or really hard regions to have that 'run for your life' feeling again, but after 6k hours on Xbox and now 1k hours on pc, nothing gives me the thrill anymore l felt back in the days, when I accidentally approached an theri, because I thought it was friendly, or being approached by an pack of raptors.

I was lucky enough to never have mistaken Theris for friendly, because the first time I logged into a pvp server and started making a thatch base it got dark and it said "you've entered a dangerous area" and I was like how so? And then the feathers were on me. And I instantly knew what Theris were after that, even in the dark I could see it so after it killed me I went to the wiki and read about it.

To me the most addicting thing is slowly unlocking the certain engrams that really progress your survivor. For example, getting the crossbow and metal tools, or the longneck rifle and darts, or finally unlocking the biotoxin darts!

I love traveling the map with 1 or 2 friends after starting a new world. Taming dinos, losing dinos and barely surviving situations on the way with the gear at hand. Naming dinos and shortly after deciding if they should be sacrificed for a safe get-away.

I’m addicted to chasing the feeling I had when I first played ark and had absolutely no idea where I was, what I was doing, how to defend myself, I could grab berries, make a thatch hut, and drink water. My navigational skills as well as the sheer number of hours I’ve put into the game just make it so difficult to get that noob feeling, I haven’t played for a few months though, maybe I’ll get a bit of that feeling when I log on again

#2 is spot on. Early-mid game struggle is always my favorite bc of the feeling of accomplishment. Once I have too much good gear and dinos that I almost never die it starts to get stale and I restart. Base maintenance is such a chore without mods

Yeah I play pve, so we just have to tame the right creature at a good enough level and imprint their babies, couldn't imagine breeding a thousand times. Never mind cutting near all of them for not being perfect enough, and then cutting those ones once they do good and produce even better ones etc.

Get a mantis and equip it with clubs, knock out a ton of dinos with it it is extremely fun but very time consuming. Though, the only drawbacks is that you need quite a few clubs if you want to extend the time and low level creatures you knock out will stay until they die leaving no room for high level spawns

I love restarting and racing to build up especially on official servers with tribemates I've known for years. Taming and breeding the best dinos, running boss fights day one, building massive bases to defend all your prized toys. Nothing like it! When gigas are popping with 900+ melee, I tend to get bored personally.

That egg run is certainly an addiction but not as dangerpus as before . Ya know that gas mask and well healed lizard boi and its all good ! Man, didn't realise how addicted I am. 🙂 For me it's a combination of base building, taming, inventory sorting/material gathering runs and new starts (because game starts feeling too easy once I've reached early late game). My first experiences with Breeding was on an official server when the game was still in early access phase and that was such a boring time hog that it turned me off the idea. Maybe I'll give it a try again on a single player run with accelerated time settings.

Oh gosh. If I had to say what my addiction would be to, it'd be crafting things to make my life easier, organizing, and overpreparing for things. I spent 7 hours gathering narcoberries to turn into narcotics after hording spoiled meat since the start of the game. Chests filled with them. I just get this severe satisfaction of stocking up, making sure all the dinos have food, and organizing the inventory dump chests into the storage system I set up. Just today I spent over 10 to 12 hours making THOUSANDS of gunpowder and bullets.
