Oh absolutely! Love your artistry and can tell how much peace and joy it brings you. Would love to know the consistency of paint you used on this one. Your lines in this one were so sharp and not blended…love that!
@JMoPainting
@JMoPainting 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! It was the consistency of house paint. The medium I used for that was the Behr 8300 deep base and it’s thick. It left about a trace of 2-3 seconds. The medium was homemade with the Behr 8300 and polycrylic (both available at hardware stores) ratio was 3 parts Behr to one part polycrylic for the medium. Then I mixed the medium with the paint at 3 parts medium to 1 part paint to get the thick consistency you saw in the video with the sharp lines! I hope that helps you out Nora!

Favorites (hard to choose!)... I can get it down to 3 faves, including geode ~ ad low as I can go: 1st painting Purple geode piece is, "Wow!" Last 1, due mostly to the colors used & how "crisp" the lines of colors used, that they stayed so well defined & 'clean'. Very well done, sir! So many different things/places for one's eye to linger & enjoy....appreciate!

@JMoPainting
@JMoPainting 2 жыл бұрын
I am glad you found me over here! If you ever need help reach out and I could try to explain things a little better and we will get you started pouring. The ratio I typically use for most pours is 3 parts floetrol to one part paint. Parts can be any measurement as long as they stay the same throughout your process (grams, ounces) floetrol is the pouring medium I use but there are others some mixtures with glue all and water, or out of the bottle ones like liquitex. You add the mediums to the paint to make it fluid. Once they are fluid check for consistency - let the paint drop off the stick back into the container. I use the trace method to ensure that all my colors are close to the same consistency. When the paint drops back into the cup count the seconds until the mound disappears. That’s your trace. Add small amounts of water to your thicker colors (the ones with a higher trace) until they all match. If you are adding silicone now is the time to add that and mix it in. Then you are ready to pour! I hope this helps you Denise!

Blessings JMo! Of course, I loved them all but I liked #2 the most with the purple, black & white & the crystals added to it. & I also loved #10 with the purple, white, & pink streaks & swirls. ( please ) do one with glitter added to each color as you add colors into the cup. Example after adding the base coat, add a color then on that color add the same color in glitter. Then do the same with all additional colors before you flip the cup. please & thank you!! God bless!

Purple geode is ..."Wow!!!" Don't really know if I'd call that amazing piece an "acrylic paint pour" tho? That part of process, as % of the whole art piece, seems almost incidental. Nonetheless, beautiful! Love those purples! I must go to boring geode locations cuz' never seen ANY bright colored ones (like blues, purples), just warmer earthtone colors + shades of gray sky. Still are very beautiful, details, so fun to find/crack open.
