Jamie Archer, known as Jamie Afro (born 26 July 1975) is an English singer. He participated in Series 6 of The X Factor UK as part of the Over 25s category mentored by Simon Cowell.
His audition of Sex on fire by the Kings of Lyon had the crowd on their feet and singing along as if the real band were performing.
A true showman who wowed the audience each week was eventually controversially eliminated from the competition in Week 6, finishing in 7th place after losing the sing-off to Lloyd Daniels.

This guy is charismatic. He has rock music all the way down to his toes and I love his upbeat presence. Smiling all the way and enjoying making the crowd go crazy. Don't know why he hasn't made his mark in the business. He is special and I kept looking for him not knowing his name. I searched the song and found him. Oh happy day. I have extremely wide tastes in music and rock is just one facet. He fills the bill. Love love love him and I'm a great grandma. I wish him every success/

Simon’s crush on this artist is the reason he has the job he has. Charisma, presence and authenticity make his voice perfect. It wouldn’t work with a more polished voice. Anyone who can capture an audience in this manner is a great star. That’s why Simon sings along…! Star quality 👍

I believe Jamie is a stage beast, he comes alive on the stage, that's is turf, this is what he knows:all that he knows! He needs this rapport with the audience as one needs air to breathe.
