The blood moon isn't as "random" as you might think....it is triggered after you have done a bunch of monster killing, collecting stuff, cutting down things, etc etc etc...all that information slows the game down. The Blood Moon is a sort of reset button that triggers after a certain point.

@@Nemesis_xo I'd recommend going to the rito village in the northwest and buy the armor they have available. The warm doublet gives you like 1 tier of cold resistance. The rito armor is a full set and is 3 tiers of cold resistance and can survive any cold areas because there are much colder areas that the warm doublet cannot protect you from.

A good tip to get great ancient weapons is to visit Arena shrines. Once they're beat the guardians aren't spawned until the next bloodmoon. The best shrine to go to is the Tenah Ko'sah Shrine in the Ancient Columns region. Keep visiting this shrine after the bloodmoon to get powerful ancient weapons and some ancient components. Let the bloodmoon work to your advantage

No, not really. After you realize that bombs get you through most o the game...you just save the best equipment. But after you 4 star the sheik set, that's all you need. Why would you need to 4 star anything better (say the barbarian gear), when to get it, you need to heavily farm the toughest enemies: Barbarian=Lynels, Ancient=guardians. After that, you are forced to farm to level 2 cold and heat armour for divine beasts and Ganons a cake walk. Greatest ever; not by a long shot in my opinion. Great game...not the best. Now Witcher 3...that is a marvel. If BOTW side quests didnt amount to rupees or food exclusive rewards, then maybe. But why search for world chest or side missions, when you can sell cooked meals for money or get better by defeating Lynels with the master sword, bombs and arrows?

I've only killed a Lynel because I accidentally used an Ancient Arrow on it. Poof, gone...and no rewards. Don't use an Ancient Arrow on them unless you are just desperate to get past them. Those bastards that shoot fire can shoot it a LOOOOONG way after you leave the area. Trust me, I know....

Killing lynels isn't that hard. Only things you need is a lot of hearts, I mean, A LOT, stasis and preferably the master sword. But since the master sword won't last that long, you will also need strong weapons. Takes some time, but I never died while killing a lynel. Just needed to heal few times.

I just found out chuchu jelly is actually a lot more useful than i thought. You can change element of the chuchu, damaging monster with elemental attacks, burning grass to fly, catching fish (using yellow chuchu jelly, i never seen a yellow chuchu so to obtain yellow chuchu jelly you need to hit the chuchu jelly with electric weapon)

Yellow chuchus live in the plateaus north of Gerudo Desert. If one wanted to get yellow chuchus jelly, I recommend going there. There are also electric versions of keese and lizalfos. Lizalfos are very abundant in the Gerudo Desert. There are especially lots of electric ones.

It's a fantastic game and I love playing it myself but it is far from being the greatest game of all time. In fact, I wouldn't even call it the best Zelda game of all time. I mean, you can just go defeat Ganon without doing any of the main divine beast dungeons or shrines. You don't even need to get all the memories to end the game, which I think is a major flaw in the storytelling which in itself could be more in depth. The open world that says yes to everything (even being able to jump on demand unlike other Zelda games) is cool but you start to notice the same patterns and when farming it can become, well, boring. Again, it's a great game, but it has it's flaws.

The technical name for number 2 is stasis launches. Although that is an umbrella term for when you ride on a launched item. If you use a rock, it's called a boulder launch. if you use a tree, it's called a tree launch. if you use a slab, it's called a slab launch. if you use a box to move sideways, it's called a box walk (as the box spins when you launch it sideways, you have to walk on the box from preventing you from getting pushed off) and if you use a launch a box upwards, it's called a box launch.

The Blood Moon isn't a random occurrence, it happens once every in-game week assuming that you don't pass time by a fire. There is an internal timer that, once it has completed its cycle, will try to trigger a Blood Moon the next night. You can delay the Blood Moon until the next night if you enter a shrine.
