For the House Hunters one, they’ve already picked out the house they want. They find 2 other houses for the homeowner to make it look like they have to make a decision even though most of them have already began purchasing the house that HGTV had no help in finding
@Jayariee4 жыл бұрын
From what I read all the houses on that show are actually own by someone who comes on the show at some point. They're not allowed to show houses without it being owned on that one.

I have a friend that was in House Hunters International... the home they “chose” at the end was a home they’d already purchased months before on their own. The “hunt” was a staged and set up partial “recreating” their actual hunting experience for the show!

of course most winners abandon the dream homes. they still have to pay property taxes and insurance on a million dollar house. then there is the maintenance, if you're not making a 7 figures, you cant afford to live in a 7 figure house.

I gave up on Love It or List It a long time ago. I found the homeowners annoying, which was likely staged, but I still didn't want to listen to it. Fixer Upper - not a fan of the whole paint stuff white and then distress it, so I rarely watch that one either. I do like House Hunters, and staged or not, I'll probably keep watching.

Yes I can't stand the American/Canadian versions but the Australian one is really good because it lacks all that ridiculous drama and feels much more realistic

So......I didn't know that 'Love it or List It" recorded both answers. That one kinda sucks. But with number two, I'm not mad at it. I mean, why not search for people that are already under contract for a fixer upper-type house and create a show around it. I mean, the work is basically done in terms of finding a house and waiting to buy it from the bank (or however it is purchased). And all the other ones, not surprising.

You'd be surprised how many shows record several endings in advance and air the one that they think the audience would love. Contestant shows like Americans top model and Rupaul's drag race are known for this
@caketropolis4 жыл бұрын
@@Jayariee drag race does that to stop spoilers from getting out before they air it on tv. It makes sense they have to shoot multiple winners because it's in front of a live audience.

Some points in this video are not totally accurate. For instance on Property Brothers we do see Drew and Jonathan doing some work along side the actual construction crew. They often talk to them and joke around with them so no one is hiding their presence nor is it inferred that the brothers do all the work themselves. You know by watching the show that others are carrying most of the load. Chip and Joanna never hide the fact that they are helping friends by renovating their homes. What isn't thrown it there is that it was always the friend's idea as converted in this video.

That disappoints me about Christian believers Chip and Joanna, outright lying on the show about some things. The love of money is the root of all evil.
