I HIGHLY recommend the series “Carol & the End of the World” to people who like adult animated shows. It’s absurd and hilarious while at the same time being utterly original and melancholic in the best ways. Haven’t seen an animated series like it, honestly. It’s a vibe of a show. Came out super late 2023.

I totally agree with your #1 pick! The Fall of the House of Usher was terrific. It was a bonkers, crazy series, but so enjoyable. I also absolutely loved Beef. The most disappointing series was You. I loved the first three seasons, but was very disappointed with the current one.

When I heard: *I was worried, I was nervous, I wasn't fully invested...* I'm like, that is emotions felt for *the character(s) in the story* - so, the Writers have to raise the value *before* the viewer's patience wears thin! Your way of describing things, is a 'twist' that makes me 'brake' and rethink!

Ok, Debby Downer has entered the building; yeah, it was a down year for Netflix series. I can’t think of a single series that I enjoyed this year from Netflix other than The Night Agent, probably one or two that I forgot about. I did not enjoy Fall of the House of Usher at all nor did I enjoy The Diplomat. This doesn’t take away from me really enjoying your channel; the older I get the more I find myself zoned in on specific genres and less interested in others. I miss the Narcos series along with Mindhunter; I’m hoping that 2024 is a better year for Netflix series and another great year for your channel.

I'm always on the fence with Flannagan. I love his shows and movies. His dialogue, the look, everything, all amazing. But dude, do you need to kill off every major character every time. I think I loved this show because it worked here, but I can't do this this every time. You don't need to always clean house.

Really, It’s only happened twice: Midnight Mass and House of Usher. He killed off 2 major characters in Hill House and, if I’m remembering correctly, just the 1 in Bly Manor

@@mike9512 well, Hush is a bit of a different case. There’s hardly any characters, and the main character survives, so I’d say that one doesn’t count, but Oculus definitely does.

@@JD-jz5gu The way I remember Hush was that it was ambiguous (could be real, could be a dream). But there could also be different cuts, or I'm remembering it wrong. And to be fair, he is mostly in the horror genre, which isn't a stranger to sad endings, but I still like me a final girl (or guy) still standing after everything. The one death in Usher that does hit hard at least makes sense. I wanted her to find a way out but I get it needed to go that way. Overall I think you are correct, it's not as bleak as I'm remembering.

It hasn't been many, but there are a few shows that I have torn through in one sitting, House of Usher was that one show, this year. I got home, turned it on and watched EVERY EPISODE, that night. So amazing.

I wouldve put Pluto higher than One Piece tho. Also, I knew you would LOVE Blue eye samurai. Who didn't? On the surface its Mulan but darker and it couldve come across as female empowerment but this is female empowerment done RIGHT And Fowler feels like the new Kingpin in Netflix

Hilda Season 3 came out in 2023. Best TV Show the Netflix has ever made. Ever. There is no competition... Well, except perhaps Anne with an E.. or She-Ra... Or Carmen SanDiego.. But apart from those shows that areally good, Hilda is the best.. 👍
