For me, ALS is currently one of the top watch brands in the world. It is no longer only the watch world’s holy trinity (PP, VC, AP), but the four horseman (PP, VC, AP, ALS). ALS deserves a seat at the table. Fantastic pieces.

@@Nikku08 They did. When ALS released the Datograph, PP had nothing even remotely close. For all the talk about how well PP finishes their movements, ALS beats them pretty convincingly. Not to mention ALS doesn't have differnet levels of finish for their various price points. Their lowest cost watch has a movement with hand engraving and the same level of finsish and the oens shown here. The one nod I'll give to PP is their cases are generally more elegant, but that's about it. That certainly doesn't justify a price double or more what an equivalent ALS watch would cost.

Coming from a background in art, one of my favorite painters in the world is Mark Rothko. Then there's the still, quiet painters from Europe like Chardin and Vermeer. This kind of bracing minimalism is what I value most in a watch. So if I could have one watch in the world it would not be from any of the makers in this comment section. I would want a Credor Eichi ll with that seductive Ruri Blue watchface. It's my grail watch. I consider the Eichi ll the antithesis of an A. Lange & Sohne's Datograph. I bow to the pyrotechnics and disarming beauty of the A. Lange & Sohne movement but the Eichi ll creates another kind of fullness from nothingness.

Oh c´mon John. These Chinese watch is only "good" if you adjust the spring work (+30-60 sec/day) and than, you have to wear her every day . Because the spring work is running as f**k in the end. Not to mention it´s a cheap copy with a cheap finish. 100€ for blenders, 100€ blown away.
