Rare thumbs down for this video. Unlike similar previous videos, this one lacks the caveat/disclaimer that Watchfinder is owned by A. Lange & Söhne. Oh, and lower production volume does not equate to "more prestige," it just means intentionally limiting supply (and having less production facilities/employees) to artificially inflate "exclusivity" and price. Lastly, the audio quality on this video is subpar.

Mark this post: Lange will surpass PP in terms of collectability and desirability very soon. So under appreciated. No marketing, no IG followers, no movie stars or star athletes, just a great watchmaker doing great things.

For sure Lange makes nicer and better built watches than PP. PP has not much of a future. It'll soon be surpassed by MB&F and possibly even Greubel Forsey whose finishing is on a whole different level. PP isn't bad but Lange is better.

To my mind Lange is the finest one can get. If one could afford such a thing. That's not a criticism. Just a fact of life for most folk. The only time I was in the presence of a lange i was spellbound. I hid my Longines tank in my sleeve and then realized it was a mint mid fifties solid gold tank. Nothing to be ashamed of there.

Lange is in a classic "Apple v Microsoft" marketing dilemma. Patek does something to watch collectors that Lange just doesn't (yet) - that is not a battle that can be fought with technical achievements, finishing, etc. It is a battle for the heart, one that Lange doesn't seem to understand. I agree that modern Lange is better than modern Patek, but Patek has over a dozen truly iconic references. Calatrava, Nautilus, Complications, Grand Complications, etc. Additionally, Lange sincerely needs to focus on wearability. If they start putting out Zeitwerks or Datographs in 38mm cases, 46mm lug to lug, and 10mm thick? Christ, look out.
