Hi capa. I myself chose a 6“ Irex from WE. But WE is sort of a mixed bag, they are known for not having the best quality internals (weaker metal), but are also compatible with Tokyo Marui mags. Tokyo marui is sort of a go-to gun, but I don’t like their Hi-Capa‘s since their slides are made out of plastic. Even though, they are the base of almost every other Hi Capa gun/part there is and if you are willing to invest money and time into building your gun with additional parts, like new slides, barrels, hop-hup chambers & buckings, then I think you can’t do anything wrong with a marui Hi Capa. A disclaimer I have to make: a 5.1-inch hi Capa is the standard for almost any part, therefore I recommend to you sticking with something like a Marui, since first of all they are the base for most aftermarket parts there are and also are known for high quality in general.

I would actually not recommend a GBB as your first gun. For beginners they might be a bit much, too many moving parts, a lot of maintenance, expensive, and if you aren’t careful with brands they could break within the year. I would recommend an AEG as a first gun, they are cheap, reliable, and zero maintenance required. In my experience GBBs have “put off” beginner players due to the amount of work they take. However if you are determined to get a GBB pistol I would recommend Tokyo Marui as your first, then maybe move into Elite Force or H&K.

CO2 is better in cold weather, but I would recommend gas simply because of the simplicity to refill the mags.
