In case you guys are wondering why The Backrooms 1998 isn’t on here, had a chat with Tats on Discord about this, it’s apparently based on a real life child abduction murder and the fact that it doesn’t really feel like a Backrooms game since it’s only in Level 0
@TatsTopVideos4 ай бұрын
Also because the game is unnessecary gory with mutilated corpses and body parts strewn around the place. And every now and then a loud scream jumpscare for no reason. The whole game you're having to hide from a raincoat entity, that relies on your voice travelling through the microphone. The game could of been fine if it was just its own horror game, but it had the Backrooms thrown in for no reason

I love that many of these games give you the option of turning on and off the monsters so it pleases both types of players who either want an isolating unnerving experience where they are stuck alone in an endless limbo with nothing in it with nobody to save them, or an experience of wandering through a creepy isolating maze knowing that something is lurking around the corner waiting to strike. Whether which depiction of the Backrooms is better is up for debate, but the fact that many of these games give players the choice for what kind of horror experience they want is awesome and I have nothing but respect for those devs. Definitely will give some of these games a shot.

The Backrooms doesn't need to have SCP level entities, all it needs is a well done creepy atmosphere, a well done story that ISN'T an SCP ripoff, and if there are going to be entities, they need to be creative, and in areas that are plausible/work.

Omg this comment LITERALLY no clipped me just now!.... ugh... I hate when people literally don't use the word "literally " properly. And when they use backrooms when they obviously only know just surface level stuff

I agree it's gotten redundant, but there's still a lot more that can be done, there's still potential

Why was the Japanese Creepypastas video deleted?
@TatsTopVideos4 ай бұрын
Japan blocked the video in every country but its own. Since some of the videos were found on the Deep Web, its telling that some of them could of been real or mysterious, that Japan is trying to cover up.

so far NOCLIP and The Complex has been the only games to give me that eerie feeling of the backrooms other games just kind of miss the point imo
