Tip for anyone with a bad computer: Don't make your base in a cave like the dwarf lava kingdom. Whenever you exit or enter , the game will have to render the inside of the cave and then the outside which might result in the game freezing or crashing. I made my base in the location I mentioned and my game crashed once because I entered and exited the cave too often in a small amount of time.

I saw gold mountain since day one and have been living there and it’s an amazing spot to live because as soon as you get a maewing you can get all the resources you need and very very easy honey nodes on top the cliff plateaus between the waterfall castle and the mountain that are unguarded

Hilltop has only few maps and admins are too bad, they're stealing your hundered hours work cuz of little mistake. They closed even some of ascension maps like aberration and you cant unlock s+ tek forge engram cuz of that.

In the second one, if you stop just before entering the cave enterence you’ll find that in that room there’s secret storage in the ceiling. A lot of people already know that for PvP but if you have any resources or small dinos u want out of sight that’s a nice place to store them.

In the castle with all the waterfalls if you follow the waterfall that is connected to the castle by the eggs, it opens up and you can build a base in the waterfall

But I like to always have beachside on my main base (PVE) because I like to have my big water dinos close by, would love some recommendations for beachside bases in this map, right now I'm thinking of going with one as close as I can to the teleporters so it's fast to go to the other regions of this awesome map.

Little late to the party here. But you can at any time, bring up a menu built-in for Fjordur to teleport to all the different locations - rather than manually going to the portal room every time. I believe you hold R (or whatever you have your 'Reload' set as) to bring up the menu.

The gold Mountain, around 47, 57 is next to the beach. Build there. There is a cave in that mountain, there you will find a portal room that leads to the other realms, such as Asgard.

For future readers since I'm late to the party too, There is a very safe cave behind the waterfall which is on the beach. Head to Vannaland S-SE then head south down the beach and into the first waterfall on the right. Huge cave, metal, crystal, oil, water can be found inside. No spawns inside the cave at all. Next to a loot cave. Not many Rex spawns. Very safe starter cave.

This map looks cool it would be very fun to play PVP if canon was the latest weapon you could get in the engrams, imagine tribes raiding would be like if people had to bring paracer and brontos with canons on top to raid bases at those mountain castle bases. they made this beautiful medieval style map where people could have tons of fun without any advanced weapons, it is kinda pointless to have this map and all the technology engrams at same time.

6:14 I wanna like this cave and while it's good for resources, it's...really terrible for carrying dinosaurs considering they all float. Even land dinosaurs. Even dinosaurs that cannot jump and are on totally flat terrain. If you are willing to tolerate that, I'd go for this but yeah...sadly it's not as good. It is however, the most beautiful

LOL as a fellow Pokemon fan I love your name ;) You will love Episode 4 of my Monarky series when that comes out! We had an Ark Pokemon tournament. Living in the lunar cave has certainly had its challenges that I've had to learn to adapt to, but I love living there as my main base in the Monarky. Aside from a couple spots where dinos can glitch and drown above the water, it's the safest place on the map, with infinite resources that you can gather 24/7 since it's always light out. And breeding is way easier when you can stack dinos up in the air lol

I am having trouble stopping spawns in the 1st location, the dwarven kingdom. Any suggestions as the spiders and bats are getting quite tiresome. I already built many foundations throughout, with at least 2 together at each spot. Do I just need to fill the place with foundations completely, cuz that could get expensive?

That's a great question, Nathan. So each foundation you place blocks spawns in a circle for about the distance of 10 foundations away from it. Even Thatch will work, but Stone can't be destroyed by anything but Alphas. I'd recommend starting with a small area then working your way out from there. Or setting up plantX turrets can shoot them down pretty well.

I covered the area with foundations and cliff plats and still get spawns. Ended up just setting up tek turrets and now have unlimited chitin for cementing paste so that worked. If you're early game plant species X like Survival Guide said will work just fine.

Question: how do you unlock the snow owl saddle in fjordur? It says it is only for extinction. That's not the only saddle like this. Are we not supposed to tame these creatures?

It might get patched. Until then you'll have to transfer to Extinction or Lost Island if you don't have the dlc maps. You might be able to find them in drops too

Great question! You can snap a fence foundation across the doorway, then put a doorframe and door on that. It takes a little while to line it properly but looks great when you're finished. A foundation might also work, but you might have to duck to get in and out of your house if you use one.

So the entrance to the cave looks like a military bunker. With the base built infront outside of the cave with a landing pad and pillboxes that have machine gun turrets. So basically i'm looking for a large cave that is big enough to hold 7 Andrewsarchus and also has large flat land outside of it.

Hmm, I think there is a setting that allows building in caves which might be turned off on your game or server. If you find the setting and make sure it's enabled, it should let you build there.
