Another great tier list. I love your graphic, it's the cleanest and most concise of all the Diablo 3 Seasonal lists out there. One suggestion though, why not put a green 'H' next to the builds that use a set from Haedrig's Gift? That way you can easily see which builds you can start pushing right away without having to swap and farm for later.

Personal thank you for agreeing with most testers and setting the new sets with 100% honesty as just mid tier, hopefully Blizzard (since they put this on launcher) sees that as it still needs love and adjusts. Congrats btw :)

tbh i only tried the new Frenzy Set and its hell of a lot better than any other barb set but WW-Rend. If you compare Frenzy to EQ,Raekor or IK its hell of a lot stronger.... I have 830para , no augs, Level92 gems and did a GR 107 in 9minutes eazy peazy with Frenzy. Yes WW-rend is 2-3GR stronger and its faster in low GR-Speed farming , too..... still at least Frenzy is 10GR stronger than all the old sets . If anything needs a buff its all the old sets like in barb -> IK,Raekor and EQ

@sv650Sftw Not him, but Monk WoL builds are the fastest; Dashing strike is a near instant teleport. When coupled with In-Geom, this effect is practically permanent, as WoL clears an entire screen with one cast. Usually the LoD variant of WoL is preferred, as you don't have to keep up stacks of sweeping wind and is thus a very low-management playstyle. As for normal rifts, the Goldwrap belt combined with a Boon of the Hoarder ensures nothing can kill you. The teleport also allows bypassing certain obstacles that a vault (Which takes longer by the way) cannot do, such as the Jail rift to teleport downstairs, to give an example.

He didn't really mention it all that much except to say Necro gets a lot of benefit. But it really is huge. It will change up playstyles for some characters (notably Necros which have multiple conditional damage buffs from cubed weapons to maintain now). The biggest effect is going to be to put classes out of whack for a little while. Classes like Necro which have lots of generic damage multipliers on weapons are gonna see the biggest boost. Classes that already have limited options outside of the required skill-specific uniques like Barbarian will be business as usual. And group play of course will be totally different for the whole season, Rat Runs are back for this season and will be gone after unless there are further changes.

Mark Blaze honestly got to agree with you here. So very overtuned once it is online. Played it on the PTR and tested different items with it but if you want to run through rifts with little to no effort except to hit spirit walk whenever you see heavy damage incoming or a elite that does not get instant killed go for it. I was going to main WD but after more hours then I’m proud of playing the SB WD I can honestly say not for me. I think WW barb has more buttons to push and more effort to get rolling then WD does

My Mundunugu's Spirit Barrage Witch Doctor is probably the mos successful build I've played. As the season ends, she's easily clearing level-80 Greater Rifts in under 8 minutes.

One of the things I've never liked about D3 is its focus on solo and single player...I remember when I got Warcraft 2 for Windows 95 and there was a preview for Diablo 1...My excitement was through the roof when they showed that it would be multiplayer...traverse the dungeons of a hack and slash adventure with up to 4 players? Now THAT was amazing to me. Diablo 2 went a step or 2 further with its multiplayer...a lot of the characters had buffs that would affect and benefit your party...and then D3 came out and decided that multiplayer was okay, but single player was really where Diablo shines...so I play D1 and D2 and haven't played D3 in well over a year. I do like what I've heard about D4 as far as refocusing on multiplayer and parties...especially the dungeon instances. That's one thing I wish D3 had were dungeon raids like WOW...How amazing would it be to spend hours in a single dungeon with a group of friends? That's what I love about Diablo 1 is that it was entirely about dungeon raids...The only overworld was the town hub where you went back to collect potions and stuff, and then you went back down to the dungeons. D2 put too much focus on the overworld exploration, and D3 continued that aspect. I hope D4 goes back to focusing on dungeon exploration, and if these dungeon raids make it into the final product I will be as giddy as a nun on Tuesday.

Hydra's don't do as much damage as Vyr Todo's. But since your list is based off the GRs behind S-Tier, i can see why it's on par with Vyr Todo. But in terms of power, Hydra's do not do better IMO.

I don't understand why they don't scale damage with paragon levels for the set bonuses. So that you actually have to paragon up before hitting ridiculously high levels out the gate. And it can scale smoother too. Thoughts?

I haven't played in a couple years, but am coming back for season 20. It's weird seeing the Necromancer just barely at #10 on the list. They used to dominate the top 10 and be the only S tier last time I was playing.

Confused. Bazooka is dead because of the mechanics changing for deathwish, sigil, and mantle of channeling. It's no longer possible to hard cast SP meteor and generate enough arcane to then channel 1 sec to get the multiplier benefits. So the only option for earning those multipliers is free meteors from channeling with etched sigil. Those meteors would do no damage being they aren't dumping all arcane power. Plain old meteor shower would be the best and only viable meteor build not? Why are Tals/FB Star Pact builds still listed? Any clarification appreciated thanks!

I have to ask when was this list put together? I was under the impression the nerfs to the weapons + the buff to the Typhon set made it so that the set edged out the LoN version of the Hydra Wizard. Are you saying that the LoN build should still be that much better or was this list made before those changes?

No LoD is still better, just look at the leaderboards. Plus LoD gets a huge up on seasonal theme too. New set is DoA, quite a shame. Guess we'll have to wait till next season.

The Barbarian build suggested here is unplayable. There is no means of starting WW with some rage. That’s why most builds include some kind of rage-producing skill.
