307 is good. Had one for 15 years from new, parts are dirt cheap. Decent cruiser for its size and can carry 8 ft fence posts inside

I brought my big Lex LS430 for £1800. Absolutely a beast. Reliable. It's a 4.3 litre engine. Smooth. 0-60 at 6.3 seconds. Can drive 1000 miles in 1 day and still be alright at the other end. Driving at 70mph feels like driving 50mph. The most comfortable car I have ever owned.

I had an MG loved it but the repair costs are awful and and the K series engine was notorious for the headgaskets blowing

Good to see an MG in a video, they are seriously underrated cars because of the headgasket problem. As long as you take care of it and keep an eye on your coolant you won’t have a problem with the headgasket and even if it does go now it’s cheaper to fix than buying a BMW headlight 😂

Nice job! MG-TF is a fun car, really hits the power over between 5000rpm, but noisy with the enginer right behind you. Would love an Mx-5. When can we expect part 2???

the tf is such a dinky car . i drove my mums and i had no room (6ft 18stone ) lol she sold less than a 12 month later and made a grand profit selling it back to the garage she bought it from .

My first car was a peugeot 107 which had a toyota 1 litre petrol engine. Its the same as the toyota aygo and Citroen C1 which all have the exact same 1 litre engine. Insurance was cheap well i paid £2080 when i was 17 but went to around £930 after 2 years. Next i bought a mk6 fiesta zetec s for just under 2k. The zetec s trim basically is an ST however the wheels are different and comes with smaller economical engines. you can get the zetec s in either a 1.6 petrol or diesel engine. i got the diesel as it has £30 road tax and claimed 72mpg (getting around 50mpg). Insurance at the moment is £1270. the diesel takes 11.2 secs to 60 whereas the petrol takes 9.9 secs. could include this in you future video.

Nice vid. I'm still looking for my first car and this video was pretty interesting. Insurance is weird around my area as the MX-5 costs about as much the mini for me to insure. I'm so conflicted... my brain says go for the mini because its fun and practical. Though if the mini goes wrong it can cost ridiculous amounts to fix. My heart says go for the MX-5 that will be fun and more reliable. Decisions... decisions...
