The best CLEARLY spoken English in Africa is in Uganda. West African English is hard to understand especially when the speaker mixes English with pigeon English. Kenyan English accent is hard to understand. In Kenya Swahili is the most prominently spoken language. Yes, English is the lingua franca in Kenya but the accent is still inferior to Uganda. In Uganda, Swahili was always used by traders across East Africa and was added to the curriculum not long ago. South Africa speaks English but it accents depend on the first local and/or tribal language spoken. Lastly, Rwanda changed from French to English in 2008 although many of its leaders including the current President were educated in Uganda and/or at Makerere University.
