For gloves i recommend the mittens that fold over so your fingers are exposed. makes tying and other things easier

I'm thinking about getting some, but I don't know if it's worth spending 50+ dollars. I got a brand new pair last year for 40. Are they worth it or no
@tyfaichney31653 жыл бұрын
@@huntersandberg9193 I wear a pair I found at a local surplus store for like $20.. theres cheap pairs on amazon as well. They’re definitely worth it on the days that are extremely cold!! I normally don’t really keep my gloves on if the fish are constantly biting, but will wear them on slow days

@huntersandberg91933 жыл бұрын
It makes it much easier because you know when there's a fish on you. You can also see what "movements" that you make with your lure they like, and which they don't. It's an absolute necessary.

i no this is old comment, but i just sold the original FL-12 that my dad bought me 11-12 years ago. when i sold it the guy asked how good do the flashers work. my best answer was i drove 2 hours to bluegill fish and forgot it, i drove home.

@@huntersandberg9193 fishing with the old guys that knew the lake, doing it with the lead weight depth finder that clips to your hook and hand over hand in 35 fow. my dad and i limited in 1.5 hours because we seen the fish were 15-18 feet off the bottom. old guys both own vexilars now.

So I see all this storage space for all these jigs, and these are terrific gift ideas. But what I challenged myself to do this summer was to cut back on the amount of tackle I need. This means less storage space, and I can carry around all my year round tackle pretty much in my pant pockets.I now use 2, 4 by 9 inch single level plano tackle boxes for all of my bass and northern and even walleye fishing needs. I started from scratch and got everything I needed for about $40, that includes weights and stuff too. It was a real challenge, I really went budget on a lot of stuff but, and this might sound crazy to most fisherman, I was still able to get some quality gear. Personally I store all of my ice fishing gear in a 4 by 6 ice fishing tackle box and the tackle works for anything from bluegill to bass to walleye. I think it’s a cool challenge to see all the more u can really do with less.

I needed this vid a couple weeks ago to give to my fam! Lol Also never fished with a vex in all the like 5-6 years I’ve been consistently going out, I just use the navionics app and try to find some good spots and it seems to work. With that being said I’m sure once I get once I’m gonna feel like the most spoiled angler on Christmas every time I’m on the ice being so used to not having one now lol

I recommend the fl18 for a starter. And the vexilars/ other fish finders make such a big difference and also make fishing a lot more fun.

All great recommendations, man! I honestly love the 2B rod bag... the pockets on the outside are a great size and you can fit a bunch of stuff, especially with the stretchy mesh on the outside of the pockets. They can seriously be your entire tacklebox if you don't have a lot of tackle/plastics, and still fit your sunglasses! Sweet bag for sure. Have a good one Sam!
