I have used the self clean mode on my oven. Just have to remove everything from the inside. Have to wipe it down before. After a few hours all the dried burnt stuff turns to dust that I wipe off. Very satisfying. I do get anxious each time I use it even though nothings ever gone wrong. I also open the windows in the kitchen before I start it and keep the door open.

The L’extase one and the L’extase rose absolue is my all time favorite!! ❤️❤️ I ended up getting a backup of that one , it’s so good🥰💯 I need the rose ex tase. Ovens have self clean over there? In Ireland, that mode is called your mammy standing behind you with a wooden spoon and a fierce look 😂 I'm blessed that every fragrance I've ever tried lasts all day and night on me , even body sprays. What is supposed to happen with self clean mode is it takes about 6 hours but it does get so hot to burn all of the food remnants up so they incinerate and end up being some ash on the bottom of the oven, which you are supposed to be able to wipe away once all is cooled down. It will smell a bit as it's burning everything inside due to the high temperature. Depending on how much your oven needed cleaning, it might have been burning more stuff, which caused some smoke....but no idea on your oven having the error message code on it. I would only do it while home and awake. Maybe Google your model and see if it's happened to others?

Last all day, I think I find it even more unique than Unknown Pleasures. Follow is my most recent purchase from the house. It smells like a frothy cappuccino. Very very coffee forward so I was contemplating whether to get it or not but I ran out of my sample... You know how it goes :)

I have had similar experience with the self cleaning mode so I only do it the summer during the day when everyone is out of the house already with the windows open I love Rose all dae, it’s best in cold weather by Gallagher fragrances and he also sends awesome samples you might like Fineapple or O’ Fraiche

I adore Journey Woman. It has been my signature scent for years. I would say the osmanthus and the spices are much more prominent than the apricot. To me, it smells like a middle eastern souq (traditional market) full of spices and sweets flavours that all blend together.

Yes I use self cleaning on the oven. I do it at night bec it takes at least 4hrs to finish. Then the next day, when everything turns into ashes, I clean off the surface. I make sure I put the fire alarm away from our kitchen. I often use the oven to bake salmon and veggies when I meal prep. Just make sure you dont leave any aluminum trays in the oven while the self cleaning is on, bec it will stink in your house. I accidentally did that one time and I couldn’t open the oven bec it was lock. But if you turn off the self cleaning and once it cools off in the oven after a few minutes or hour, the knob will unlock and you can remove the aluminum tray. Lesson learned.

I'm a recent subscriber and have been looking at some of your past videos, and one of the commenters mentioned that her daughter had been watching you on their big TV and had asked what channel it was on... and I totally get that, haha, your presence and presentation are so engaging and professional. I'm very much enjoying your videos. I don't have any experience of self-clean ovens, but I don't see how incinerating the inside would make any dirt/debris disappear... sure, it may collect as charred remains in the bottom of the oven for you to sweep out, but disappear?, nah. Sounds like when we moved into our first house and were told to run the storage heaters on full overnight the first night... set the smoke alarm off, we thought we'd burned down our first home after only one day :-D I was smelling MFK fragrances only yesterday, and sprayed some Amyris Homme on my skin... it was still projecting well some 10 hours later! They seem to be generally good performers. I look forward to seeing more of your videos. Regards from England x

I only have Grand Soir from MFK (which I love) and am looking to add to my collection. I always try potential new additions out on skin (I never trust a paper blotter) so sprayed on some Amyris… I wasn't sure at first, it smelled OK but nothing special, but the dry-down after a half hour or so is very lovely. I'm very tempted to go full bottle :-)

I've just remembered what my most 'potent' fragrance is... it's Jeroboam 'Oriento'. It's extrait concentration and I think my 30ml bottle will outlive me! One spray is more than enough, the performance is monstrous. Any more than one squirt actually detracts from how good the scent actually is 'cos it becomes overwhelming. It's made me a little cautious about getting extrait versions of other fragrances.

Thanks! It is unisex for sure, but imo slightly feminine leaning. I know what you mean, it can be cloying. I only put 2 sprays of it and don't spray it on my neck because that's all i can smell. Check out Oud Silk Mood as well, it's similar but a bit more masculine

I never used self clean bc of energy used. I did leave my dryer running, going to bed, happened to check laundry room & heat hit my face. The top of the dryer glowed red. I yanked it from the wall & unplugged it. The heating coil that drys had not shut off. The dryer wasn’t old. New house, we would likely have died. I have learned to never leave appliances running. Washers flood houses, TVs & lamps have exploded.

Love your story-time and So glad everything turned out ok. Please get your oven looked at by a professional just to rule out a malfunction. I own the MFK discovery set and I agree with you about B540 and Oud SM. I adore this house! Lately I’ve been wearing Swiss Arabian (loving this house) men’s scent, Attar Al Ghutra. Longevity is 4-5 hours and projection is about 1 foot. I do not mind re-spraying this one. It’s that good! I don’t think I’ve seen you do a video about Swiss Arabian Perfumes. If you haven’t, try Attar Al Ghutra, Casablanca, Al Gharaam (MFK Clone) and Wild Spirit. They’re beautifully curated, budget friendly, most with very attractive bottles and the great majority have profiles unlike I’ve ever smelled before. I’m positive you’ll appreciate the house. Keep up the fantastic work 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

You have to leave the house when you make self clean on! I usually do it before go to work, and you have to open the windows too! Then when you come back you'll see the ash in the oven, just clean it with damp paper towel and you're done!🤗

A lovely lady and a lovely channel. If you want to clean your oven without chemicals ,use baking soda diluted slightly with water,spreading over dirty surfaces with a brush,leaving it overnight. Next day clean with a cloth dipped with diluted vinegar ET VOILA ! it costs about 2 usd.

To me Poison Girl was ok lasting but did not project much. Straight up sugar sweet. I received a mini bottle in a set, and can't imagine paying the full price for it. So many cheaper fragrances that are sweet, so many sweet fragrances with more complexity.

Have you tried the Nina Ricci L’extace Rose Absolue (Solid Black Bottle)? It was also made by Kirkdijan, and people say it’s a dupe of oud satin mood. I don’t think it is a dupe, but is similar, just easier to wear...But is a very nice Rose/oud. It has become quite difficult to find, which is why I was very happy to find it recently on fragranceBuy.ca for $46US. Thanks for recommending fragranceBuy.ca in your haul videos, because I am from New Orleans, Louisiana and had never heard of them. But have since found several great buys🙂

NO, it's not supposed to be sparkling clean. It will smell funny cause it burns off everything that's stuck in the oven. When it's done, everything burned off will be loose on the bottom of the oven and you'll have to wipe it all down. It does get smokey if the oven is superbad and sometimes it's bad the first time you use it. Just an FYI

I initially discovered your channel because of "MEN's" Fragrances, but I have always appreciate your takes and knowledge of "FEMALE," frags. Mostly because I don't have a vast knowledge of them. Sure, every once in a while I'll identify a unisex frag on a date, or a female scent I was familiar with in the past, but for the most part I have no clue what the women in my life are wearing. That goes for co-workers just as much as dates. I guess I could just ask, but I feel nowadays men really have to be extra careful about what we say, as curious (and innocent) inquiry can be taken the wrong way. So I avoid going there at all costs, especially in professional environment. I really have no excuse for not exploring female frags more because I could easily buy samples or go to any department store here in NYC and give some a sniff. The truth is I tend to be pulled by the men's fragrance section like a magnet whenever I enter a department store and if I initially had intentions of exploring ladies' fragrances I would have soon forgotten all about it. Ha ha. I was much better at that when I was in a relationship, because then I had to actively seek out a fragrance for her as a gift. That was always fun. Aside from the FMK frags you mentioned, I don't think I've smelled the others. Well I must have smelled one or both of the Dior Poison frags but I wouldn't be able to ID the frag by its bottle... but maybe by the woman my nose associates it with.

I read somewhere that men have more of an associative-based memory with fragrances, so they'll tend to like a certain fragrance that they experienced on a person that they like, or at a special time/ moment... I think women are that way too, but apparently men are more so. Not sure how true it really is, but I wonder if you'd recognize one of the Poisons and like or dislike it based on your experiences. I really encourage men to try and experiment with wearing certain women's fragrances because a lot of them really aren't that feminine, and would develop differently on a man's skin so it would smell really unique and niche-esque. It's just like how a lot of women wear men's fragrances and it just works. I personally really like the way YSL L'homme smells on me, and get compliments on it from guys! LOL But I totally know what you mean about gravitation towards your gender's fragrance section - I'm the same way and really have to set my mind on going to check out men's frags otherwise I get distracted too!

@@TheScented Yes, you are absolutely correct about how fragrances develop differently on the skin of other sexes. You've convinced me to start learning more about "female" frags. Now where to start? Most reviewers mention Tom Ford's Black Orchid as a prime example. I kind of already discovered Iris based fragrances that have been marketed toward women. I used to turn away once I smelled any fragrance with that cosmetic lipsticky opening because I would associate that as being too feminine. For years I never gave those types of frags a chance. Even Dior Homme I had stood away from for a long while. Then after sampling a few unisex fragrances with the Iris note, I've become a fan of it. Once that opening goes away, what's left is a sexy dry down on my skin. I now actually adore and seek out fragrances with Iris notes in them regardless of which sex it is marketed toward. While designer houses still strongly market fragrances toward the different sexes.....Thankfully, most of the NICHE and INDIE houses of today have already focused more on UNISEX fragrances. Ah... the joys of experiencing fragrances. More good times ahead. 🙂

😉 I don't find Grand soir actually lasts very long either and I got my sample directly from MFK, so it might just be the case with that fragrance. I love Tobacco Vanille and I think it does project well, but it doesn't last that long on my skin... I get about 6hrs from it.

I also think Dior Hypnotic Poison EDT is just ok, it's not a love.. I prefer the EDP as it is darker and more mysterious with licorice and the almonds are darker, more amaretto liqueur. Have you tried the original L'extase, to compare the Rose one to? I have it and it also has rose but wonder how they differ.

Regarding the self cleaning function for the oven, I thought you were going to mention about the recent tragic news it went on media but I realized it wasn’t about that, obviously. So I need to add this to what you warned to your viewers about. This person did the same thing, turned on the self cleaning button on the stove before he went to bed and he woke up next morning to a very shocking & super sad reality. He had 3 beautiful parrots and he found all 3 dead in their cage! What the news or this person was saying that this function would heat up so high inside the stove that the chemical that is used inside which is usually “Teflon” gets fumigated in the air results of the heat and particularly birds are very sensitive to this toxic chemical and they die. There have been actually many cases people use Teflon frying pan and when it gets heated, it releases this chemical in the air and consequently their pet birds got killed by the toxic air. So I guess this recent incident was the same theory so he was warning if it’s toxic to birds, it should be also toxic to other animals and even human so we should not be using first of all any Teflon coated pots or pans and secondly we should avoid this self cleaning function in the oven. 😥😱⚠️🦜🐈🐕🐇🐁🙊🙀

wow, this is such a sad story :'-( I had not idea about Teflon being hazardous to birds... I bet you're right and it is probably harmful to other pets, and humans as well. I definitely learned something. Honestly, I'm just not going to use self-clean, it's really not that hard or time consuming to scrub it myself

The Scented Yes, it is very sad to know many birds become victim to such a common yet uninformed dangerous chemical. I don’t even know why Teflon is still even allowed to be used and sold by manufacturers. FDA and other safe measure organizations should ban and alert consumers... I totally agree, it’s still not bad just to clean by our hands especially when you use the solution combo of white vinegar + baking soda which is quite simple and powerful cleaning agent on any surfaces. I use it for the top of stove and kitchen counter top as well as in the bathrooms and this is safe as well as environmentally friendly. I learned this from KZbin someone posted. And for additional amazing tip for cleaning the dirty surface of stove with tough grease residue or burnt stuff, using banana peels work so magically! Just peel off a banana 🍌 and then keep wiping with the inside surface of the peels and as you are wiping it down, those tough burn & grease start to dissolve and just wipe off with sponge or paper towel afterwards! Easy-peasy and it’s amazing! 👍🏽👍🏽✨🍌🙀

And so true Roses Greedy was the first mancera I ever owned. And bought 3 more from the house but they did not perform as well. With Roses Greedy, I can smell it on myself throughout my 12hr shift. And work mates two seats away can smell it too. In a good way. In a good way. It is quite linear, it stays the same throughout. But you have love roses. I dont, I tolerate roses so I use it to layer other fragrances like Lovely- SJP

It's definitely a lot to handle. Almost bitter at first, like a vanilla pod seeds, then changes to the sweetest thing I ever smelled. That's how you know Kurkdjian is a master.
