Hello and thanks for the video! I love your channel. And Happy New Year!! I have a question, what is that note in Carmina by Creed that smells like a leather jacket? or a tannery, or walking into a leather good shop? I cannot stand that smell and it is in soooo much lately. It's in Diptque's L'eau Papier, it's in YSL's Babycat, it's in Fragrance Du Bois's Minuet et demi and soooo many others, It ruins scents for me. Do you know what it is and why it's not mentioned in scent descriptions?

Lately everything has been smelling like mfk 540. I’m so done with that smell. Lollia fragrances are better in my opinion but they need to make them longer lasting.

I agree on the black opium. It’s nothing like the real opium and the original opium is the best. I find a lot of designer fragrances today smell too much alike. Some smell like a cheap shampoo or conditioner. And the Mark Jacobs decadence is awful! I don’t know what he was thinking! Lancôme la vie belle is awful. Also, way too sweet smells like cotton candy and I do not recommend anything by Thierry Mugler.

Got the Tom Ford Oud Wood. It isn’t that strong to me, it works well on my body but I wish the EDP was stronger 😉

I watched a few reviews on If You Musk but yours sealed the deal for me. I blind bought (more than one bottle) and I LOVE it. It's opening almost leans sweet pear to me with a makeup scent in the background in the best way. The smell is also similar in a way to the Jergens all purpose face cream once dried down, which I use daily and adore the aroma. Very pleased with this no matter what it's meant to be a dupe for, it just smells lovely to me. And it has a nice projection for me I can get whiffs of it randomly several hours after I've sprayed my skin and clothing. It's not loud which again, I like. I hope it's available for awhile 🤞🏼

Black Opium for life 😂 it's funny how fragrance can vary person to person with their body chemistry. Chanel perfumes smell terrible on me imo but Black Opium is heavenly and a constant compliment getter. A good key is to not drown yourself in whatever you use. Let it be a whisper, not a slap upside the head lol.

Ride or die, Mon Guerlain and Armani Si. For spring summer, Elie Saab original Clinique happy or anything light and fresh like Mon Guerlain edt. But unfortunately they like to discontinue a lot of fragrances I have loved in the past. I haven’t tried bloom of rose.

I feel like my ability to assess the perfumes was clouded by your personal judgment of other people wearing it. Hard for me to tell if you even liked any of these scents

I agree with YSL Black Opium and Mugler’s Angel. I just don’t get what’s so amazing about these. As for CH Good Girl, I’m not a fan but do looooove Very Good Girl. To me they’re very, very different. It’s much more fresh, floral and has amazing projection. All the other ones you mentioned smell like aqua net, cheap hairspray.

I still have and wear Blue Jeans on occasion, but that was my daily “work in the office”cologne and even beyond, back in the mid 90s and beyond. I’m an older man now, 62, and still prefer the classics like Halston, Pierre Cardin, Grey Flannel, etc.. and still have my teenage go to which is Jovan Musk that I wore religiously throughout HS in the 70s. That to me is a spring/summer scent, fresh and clean. Hey, to each his own, right? I just ordered Gravite because they have a full money back guarantee. I have no idea what it smells like, but I do want to try new (or newer) colognes so I figured I’d give it a shot. I’m going to see if I can sample some others that you mentioned in this video. I've always, always hated Angel and Shalimar . I used to have friends that wore these too, not sure how exactly I survived that suffocation 😂😂😂. But...nothing and no one can ever touch N 5, I think it's just an universal smell , and soooo beautiful 💕💕!

My favorite is Lost in Santal and If You Musk. Lost in Santal lasts on my clothes and it’s so good. The mist that surprised me the most is the Fantasy one. I sprayed it on my sweaty gym clothes and it masked the odor very well lol TMI

yes they mostly smell the same generic fruity floral and almost synthetic initially there's nothing special / interesting considering the spices

It’s funny but I liked Versace crystal noir edt on a card, didn’t like it at all on my skin. But what I do recommend is Musamam white intense.

My husband loves gourmand fragrances on me, he loves sweet feminine smells, whereas I hate gourmand and sickly sweet scents! 😏

I love crystal noir and so does my husband. And I’m so happy to hear someone say it smells fresh- It does to me too! The bottle definitely seems to clash with the actual scent in my mind.
