Anzo Borrego is amazing. Superstition is fantastic too. Blue Angels practice above.

Yeah, it is cool to watch the show. If they see you out there watching they will buzz your camp and put the show on for you at that spot.

Enjoyed your video. I recently got a 4Runner Pro. One of the main reasons is so that I could access hiking areas that I have been unable to access with an Audi. I have done a couple Easy trails in Riverside and the OC and I cannot wait to head for Anza Borrego. Although I have to admit that the Intermediate trails where you show the Jeep’s just squeezing through scare me and I am fearless lol. - ‘Pursuing Balance Through Adventure’

The Slot from the top parking area is totally different than the back side. The sand drop off requires some skill and is one-way. Sketchier than Diablo Drop off if you don't do it right. After that it gets even more fun.

Yeah, that drop can be pretty sketchy.

Great top 10 list, Fonts point would be on the top #11 ;-) for Sandstone canyon, would a raptor get stuck on the tight spots? Been riding most of the trials in Anza, most challenging I’ve tried so far was the narrower part before slot canyon (rock section) not sure how that compares to sandstone canyon. Haven’t been on Pinyon mountain or calcite mine yet. Thanks

I would probably avoid it, go over to the trailsoffroad site and check out the trail review. THe big rock slide is where i might not go past depending on your lift

We're planning a trip there in a few weeks and this is very helpful. I have a stock 4x4 Toyota 4Runner and it looks like there are a lot of options I can access. We don't plan on camping but are there good lodging options nearby that you can recommend?

Why is Sandstone Canyon closed half way through now?
@JeepAdventures3 жыл бұрын
The park deemed that somehow a giant landslide fell right at the point the trail was closed at before. So not that it is easily passable, they don't want you going past that. Call the park, voice your concern about the trail being closed. Tell them the trail should be open all the way to the wilderness boundary (Which is way up the canyon.)

Planning on going on Christmas day with a bunch of friends, some of these are definitely not for me since Im with a full size non lifted 2021 Silverado and even though it's 4WD, it's just way too big wide for some of the trails.

no fonts point?
@JeepAdventures4 жыл бұрын
Fonts point is an awesome view and a great place for sunrise and sunset. But it is always crowded and isn't hands on like the other ones. There is no exploring or remoteness about it which to me takes away from the view. I would rather go to Diablo's Drop and sit there and take in the view just because you can enjoy the beauty in silence plus the remoteness of it. I guess I am saying it doesn't have that omg i want to drive the trail every time while in the area but at the same time I am not saying it is bad. It is definitely a cool place to see at least once. I might do it every 3-4 years but not much more than that where the rest i will run every year to every other year at least. It would likely land at 11 on my list, thus it is worth taking the hour to stop if you haven't been there and passing by.

@@JeepAdventures I'm not sure that Fonts Point is off-road. I first drove there in 1989 taking the back route from Vista del Malpais but exited north on the trail to highway 78. I'm bouncing up and down the washboard in my Samurai following an Oldsmobile Cutlass. The Cutlass wheels are bouncing up and down just like my vehicle but the body is rock steady. I thought to myself right then, that's what Detroit suspension is meant to do. The canyon carvers can buy all the BMWs they want, half our customers live at the end of dirt roads.

What Trail do you recommend for a crosstrek with A/T tires
@JeepAdventures5 жыл бұрын
You can do a bunch of trails out there. To start out, check out the metal sculptures, the slot, and Fish Creek (Split Mtn). If you still have time, go around to the other side of the park and check out arroyo tapiado.
