technically you can as a free player..... my only issue is stupid grinding system. THE WORLD literally vast, there is a world boss and a lot of kind of puzzle and enemies..... yet the most dumb, to get gear you need to do the same dungeon over and over again.... no open hunting field....

Ni-No-Kuni was horrible, its like a "click away endless nosnskippable 20 screen long texts of your annoying sidekick" emulator. I mean really you talk to an NPC, then you have to click through 20 screens of text, then you are sent directly to 3-4 more NPCs where the exact same happens. So in 2 hours of "gameplay" you are maybe 110 minutes just clicking through endless dialogue screens. Not sure if it gets any better at some point, cause i then just uninstalled it .. soo annoying.
