The two top scenes for me were KJ discovering that she was *completely* living her own life, something 12yo her clearly thought was impossible. And Mac and her brother Dylan bonding over Danzig in the car.

The best part: seeing the girls grapple with their futures and expectations was wildly entertaining. The worst part: the distant Future and CGI. I mean, that dinosaur bit and the pink overload making it difficult to suspend disbelief.

I liked this show! Was it the best show ever? No, but it was very entertaining. I was 16 most of 1988, so I could relate to a lot of what they were going through as children from the 80's. I liked when Mac was bonding with her adult brother.

I didn't read the comics, but it sounds intresting. There is just one thing. If they went in the future how can they meet there future selfs, since they disappeard from there timeline in 1988. It doesn't make sense.

I overall like Paper Girls the characters tend to come off hot and cold for me I just find them really annoying in how they treat their adult selves and the swearing is a little bit too much. My favorite moment of the show is between Mac and her brother. I really love their relationship and interactions.

Love this show, kinda. But WTF is it with the HORRIBLE special effects? It’s embarrassingly bad. Some rando on KZbin can make a deep fake of Tom Cruise with Bill Hader’s face for no money but this show’s special effects backed by Amazon $$ has special effects right out of the 1980s? Especially the deep fake of Ronald Reagan, which made me lol but then gave me nightmares later that night. All the effects look cheap, all of it. Anyone know what happened?

I don't know why they went low budget, but honestly for me it's kind of a vibe & I like it. Kinda like how Buffy the Vampire Slayer was super campy, but the story was so good it didn't matter.

The sequence is pretty obvious. Back to The Future copycat. 1st season : present time 1988 and then timetravel to the future 2019. 2nd season : future time 2019 and then timetravel to the past 1950s. I can see the pattern here.🤣🤣 3rd season : past time 1950s and then timetravel far way back to the past (the old west cowboy 1800s) 😅😅

It is a unique, deep character study of 4 girls. It's not "woke" (whatever the f**k that means anymore) nor is it generic. It's thoughtful and funny and clearly beyond your media comprehension.
