I got all the lost caverns commanders when they came out for about 40 per deck. A few weeks ago I was looking at the decks in my lgs and saw velociramptor for 95 dollars! Good thing I got is when I did

I'm glad you mentioned Grand Larceny. Extremely fun and underrated. I bought it because I liked the characters design on the box. I didn't understand the deck at first but once it clicked it's extremely fun.

grand larceny lowkey doesn’t function without upgrades imo. the deck is split into too many different directions out of the box and it’s probably better if you ditch theft and focus on gonti’s ability

Fairly new into magic. Quick draw was my first precon and I still love. Just got the squirrel deck and that one is pretty fun as well

In my LGS we have a sealed commander league and you are only allowed to change the commander for the secondary one. It would be nice to add a section to these videos where you give a ranking for sealed power.

One thing about mutant menace, I have found that some people don't like the fact that the admin of the deck is outsourced to the opponents. ie the rad counters make people do admin. Not a huge deal but worth mentioning.

the bloomburrow raccoon deck also goes pretty nuts. it’s not the most competitive but it can really hold its own and it’s super fun to play!

If I was rich and had no other hobbies, I would buy one of every pre-con, just to have them all in a wall so I could play whatever. As it is, I am poor and have several hobbies so I maybe pick up one precon a year or so at best.

I think people REALLY slept on Thirteenth and Yasmin when they came out. I’m playing the Deck now without the Exit From Exile cards, mainly just Cascade and stuff like the Etali’s, and the deck can go off extremely hard.

How does the Creative Energy precon stack up? It's price is comparable to the Graveyard Overdrive deck in MH3.

I think each persons playstyles also play into what the better deck for them is. I've had a fantastic time playing with Cavalry Charge and Most Wanted with some minor upgrades.

Hi Tauna, I hate playing against mutant menace, every time I’m pitched against it I get screwed. Do you think graveyard overdrive is a good solution for my pain?

I have both decks, probably Graveyard Overdrive could be good against Mothman mostly if you use the second Commander Coram, the Undertaker, as he benefits completely from stuff in the graveyard. When you have to mill something because the Rad Counters, it could benefit you with the Undertaker on the Battlefield, and he will just get stronger and stronger because everyone is going to mill a lot of creatures.

Disa (the main commander of that precon) woul be perfect if there were more lhurgoyf cards in the precon (there are not so many in Magic, so the precon has very good old and new lhurgoyf ) . She is very strong but has other tactics. You don't focus so much on putting stuff in your graveyard, with her, you need to try to deal any damage to your opponents, and you will be getting every turn at least 1 tarmogoyf which will also benefit from the Mill of the Rad Counters.

@@vicenteistar alright thank you, I managed to pull a nethergoyf from packs but I am guessing i will need a lot more goyfs then to make it vaible? Just really hate the milling aspect as I do not have any decks really which benefits from grave yard play unless I am just dumb which maybe the case :D. Thanks for the comment I appreciate it

@@CLU.2 You don't need all goyfs in the deck. If you add 2.3 others, that's enough.

I am shoked that you don't mention the 20~25 Bucks Phantom Precon. Like, it's ok out of the box and you can easily upgrade it for ~20 Bucks to be either a strong Flicker Deck or a nice Foretell Deck.

I wonder how well the Curse cards would work with Bumbleflower, they basically incentivize the table to attack a certain player for advantage, Bounty and Predation seem particularly good, low cost and potentially high payoff

You should keep in mind that you block every card featured on the left part of the screen,its really annoying not being able to see a card,love your vids tnx for posting them

I would say these ones are a bit better than some of the ones suggested. Exit from exile- I think is way stronger and more fun than paradox power. It’s an insane Precon with some crazy good cards. Easy to find as well. Tyranid swarm - you have to swap to the secondary commander and it’ll work like a charm. Very powerful deck even without upgrades, with upgrades it just goes crazy. I think it’s one of the cheaper ones if the wh precons.

I think riders of Rohan also deserves a mention. You can pump out some crazy damage with trample on the tokens. Calvary charge is great too but much harder to get at a reasonable price compared to the others in the set.

I’d argue against Graveyard Overdrive. Seems more generic Jund grave shenanigans with a pretend Lhurgoyf tribal theme…at that point play something else that actually goes through with the deck’s intent.

Any thoughts on grand larceny from people who played it ? Its my first commander deck (just buyed 5 mins ago) and like the mechanic of steal and give headache to my friends.

It's very fun. A bit of a mixed identity as the thievery is through combat damage so it leans into that a bit, but you can add some of the other nice black thieves effects

Not sure if it's in the top 10, but I personally enjoy Paradox Power quite a bit. The "cast stuff from other than your hand" mechanic is pretty good in this one, and I think there is a new card coming out in Bloomburrow that will fit very well into that deck.

Bello is the best Bloomborrow Precon imo. It ramps insanely and has huuige dmg output and feels extremely smooth. You dont even need to upgrade it

Food and Friendship is more lifegain through food, than straight food. While the Squirrels is tokens. Both have value. F&F is close to the list, it's definitely a good precon.

Hey y'all. I'm a long time player thats been out of the game for around 10 years. I'm looking to get back into magic and thought I'd have an easier time getting my sister and a few buddies back by trying out commander for the first time. Is it better to buy a few precons? Would throwing something together with my thousands of cards be ansurd and terrible/time consuming?

If you wanna get into Commander, precons are definitely the way to go. Its a bit rough to teach people to play with precons, but definitely achievable. Just kinda throwing them in the deepend.

Family matters unedited is terrible! Mana base is super weak and paying the extra 2 usually means you only get 1 spell per turn and the commander only gets a temporary buff as long as your board is wide but only if it's also weak. There's very little actual card synergy that doesn't rely on having the commander in play and there's no secondary or alternative win cons. Most frustrating deck I've ever played. Bumbleflower blows it out of the water in every way without even trying.

It gets free stat buffs off of casting spells with the only downside being extra card draw for opponents but it also disincentivizes opponents from attacking the source of their free card draw until late game and by then it's got such a strong board state that it's hard to get damage through on, not to mention the alt win con with 20toedtoad and the ability to give any creature flying (admittedly only temporarily) makes it pretty dang formidable imho. I might be slightly salty from playing Family Matters to be fair though. I'm sure time will tell.

@@thomasgraveline-ri8ck so, to me the bumble deck is decent power... but it's a group hug deck... that doesn't properly hug lol. I'll admit that zinnia needed a couple extra adds but it does what it should and it's straightforward... also pre upgrade I was doing considerable commander damage. I don't understand the frustration tbh. Even ignoring the offspring. Just jump out a bunch if tokens boost your commander... and flying for the win lmao.. As far as getting blown out by bumble... hasn't happened yet.. and this is why.. once people see your not hugging proper... you've now become a target... I know because I played bumble Friday and I was never safe no matter who drew a card lmao

@@fr3ddiefir3ball49 I guess it just varies from play group to play group. The folks I play with seemed to have plenty of answers to my board state and I just couldn't build it without becoming the target of direct damage to Zinnia and cheap board removals that only need to deal 1 damage to each creature to completely wipe my tokens without losing any of their tougher creatures. Hazel at least had some token buffs and squirrel tribal buffs along with the free token duplication at end step making it's 1/1s into 3/3s and ramping up way quicker. The best combo I was able to pull with Zinnia was dropping Jacked rabbit for 7 and creating 4 1/1s at the beginning of combat to give Z a nice buff and hit for like 14 commander at 1 opponent once. After they saw that they never let Z stay out of the command zone and since she doesn't get a toughness buff she's really easy to wipe with direct damage. I love token decks but this ain't it chief.
