The way it would work is if it got counters for total mana spent which some do. X doesnt. Good catch

The Doubt ability on Phenomenon Investigators actually says "If you control The One Ring, leave 4 lands tapped: you have protection from everything until somebody finds a counterspell"

I know some people feel like this precon is a little unfocused and not worth it, and I can totally see that. However, I’m currently inbetween being new to magic and actually being good at it and this sounds like the perfect deck for where I am. I’m at the point in learning to deck build where I really wanna focus on fine tuning unfocused decks and finding strong wincons; also I just find the miracle concept so fun and interesting to play with and thematically interesting. I’ve really wanted an low commitment introduction to playing blue, and I’m in love with the theme of the set so I’ve already got some cards from the main set and older cards I really wanna swap stuff out with to make it my own. Amateur opinion, but yeah maybe for an average more experienced player looking for pure value i wouldn’t run to the store for this, but for someone like me this sounds like a really fun challenge to find the best way to use this deck.

(Not experienced player) I’m puzzled with this deck (despite esper being among my favorite colors). What does it want to do exactly? Cheat cost a bunch of mix-and-match enchantments? Some cards are very nice, but I don’t understand where the deck wants to go. Any enlightenment appreciated 😊

@@Ger0nimo76 in these colors, the enchantment effects are all over the place and the goal isn’t really to have synergy with each other but rather just overwhelm people with the powerful effects each one of them have when you cast them for 1-2 mana. The deck wants to (try to) draw a card on everyone’s turn and cheat out big enchantments and do a little top deck manipulation to make that more consistent. By drawing a card on each person’s turn, you can bypass timing restrictions for casting things with Miracle! So you could draw a Terminus (which has miracle) on an opponent’s turn and send all creatures to the bottom of the library for one white mana! The same would be for each enchantment that is your first draw on every turn. Hope that helps!

I like to think the alternate commander is essentially an underworld breach for enchantments in the command zone. Give him a few weeks and I’m sure we will be seeing the CEDH community picking out crazy combo lines. Great commander

I don’t get why they’re so inconsistent with lands. Most of the filter lands have been printed repeatedly in precons and should be in all the precons and then there’s Suken Ruins, which has only been reprinted once in Double Masters driving it up to ridiculous price of $23+ for a single filter land. All crowd/bond lands, mana less/duals filter lands, battle lands, check lands, and pain lands (might be forgetting one or two others) should be in every deck to start in precons. Not asking for Cavern of Souls or Shrine to Nyx in every precon just simple 50 cent to $2 lands. That being said this precon looks fun otherwise. Good reprints. Divining Top should’ve been in here though imo.

I’m surprised the new Zur is not in this deck. Hexproof, lifelink and deathtouch is great to give all those enchantment creatures. He will definitely be a great include.

When I saw they remade Aminatou, I thought wow! Makes sense to remake her if she originally debuted from the planeswalkers commander decks. Lord windgrace has gotten to be remade as a creature, Saheeli got remade into different planeswalkers and now a creature version, and now Aminatous turn. I wonder why they didn’t make a Estrid remake for this set/deck considering the Estrid planeswalker was all about enchantments and Aminatou was more miracle/blink focused.

I suppose Aminatou also has the glimmer butterflies in her art so they intended on incorporating her into this set somehow. Which now makes perfect sense. Honestly, they did her justice by making her into a sweet mana cheating creature. And how better to showcase her, by making her into a precon. I bet this card would’ve been super expensive had wizards put her in the general set vs making her into a precon.

I see some people think this is not focused, but I personally enjoy castig big stuff, try punching someone in the face and see if I can win. I wouldn't complain trying this with my friends. Plus, I don't have any of these big enchantment stuff and I'd really appreciate getting them all in one deck all at once. Nice vid! Can't wait to see the other 2 decks! Have a nice day!

Probably the only way I’d be keeping it in this deck IMO. The card doesn’t do what the deck wants and doesn’t provide any discount for the big enchantments, just the card advantage of having a whole graveyard of enchantments to work with.

@@CoolCat7271 it’s also a 3 manna 7/7 if you miracle it with aminatu and only if you don’t care about pumping it further because you declare the x cost then it reduces for miracle so if you miracle it you can say 4 and then you get the 4 reduced paying 3 then getting 4 counters

So I am actually disappointed in this deck but liked animatou at reveal. The commander is powerful in her own right, BUT this is not built well for a precon. Value aside, the cards in the deck are just kinda meh, and the high cmc for the sake of it makes this insanely reliant on animatou being out. There’s also a surprising low number of enchantment permanent types in this deck.

I think this Deck is a big L. Reprints are meh and mechanics are All over the place. Bad Land base as always and the 3 or 4 Hits dont make it that special. Since ordered it for cheap i will still get it tho and change like 40 cards to make it any good and consistent

@@Obermaster10 I disagree on the deck being a big L. The deck comes with multiple enchantment deck staples and even has a card that tutors which is very uncommon in a precon. Reprints don’t make a deck good and there are some very very solid reprints. As for the mechanics I don’t see how it’s all over the place it has big enchantments that you can cast for cheap with miracle and it gives you a lot of top deck manipulation to help. Would I say it’s optimized no! But it’s a precon it’s meant for beginners. Precons aren’t meant to give you super good cards haha.

@@orcazwz428 You can disagree, but it's not an opinion based thing. The deck isn't put together very well and would be like a power level 5 at most to the average player. There's almost zero interaction and it doesn't even have a proper win con compared to multiple other precons in the last few years... If it's meant for beginners then it should be mostly put together and at least allow them to build on a theme that isn't "random bullshit go!"

@@Catbus-Driver It has top deck manipulation, graveyard recurrence, and token making? Im confused with this as the deck has multiple enchantment staples, Starfield mystic, Mesa Enchantress, Moon blessed cleric, Doomwake Giant (Consistent token or 2/2 boardwipe) , Ondu spiritdancer, Demon of fates design. All of these are great enchantment staples and with miracle you can cast early on with the top deck manipulation of ponder or another scry spell. It has a enchantment that is flash to protect your commander it has a new card that is basically replenish except you can also bring artifacts and can cast it for 4 if you get the miracle. It goes with the classic wincon of flooding the board with effects and tokens then punching your opponent that is the most simplest wincon you could have haha. Im not saying its really powerful but i think it has a very solid foundation with what you have, and can be built up or more optimized.

I'll be honest, this deck looks very disappointing to me. I mean, it has some nice new cards, I won't deny that, but otherwise it looks quite disjointed and just not that great. The reprints also are not that spectacular, the Simic one had better reprints. The mana base is also quite horrible in this one, but I guess it is par the norm for these. Luckily for me, I didn't pre-order this one. Really hope the other two are better than this, because I ordered all 3 of them (shared order with a MtG buddy who only wanted this deck). XD

I think you’ll be surprised when you play against your friend! Though the landbase could use some work, this deck has a lot of utility and if piloted right, can send out a lot of big effects fairly quickly and if you are playing Valgavoth and don’t have removal for enchantments, you will probably have a rough time. The deck excels in mid to late game, with interaction spells for the early game.

@@CoolCat7271 might be, wil have to see. It isnt that I don't think it has potential. But it really looks kind of like a pile of cards put together. I get that with Aminatou the Enchantments wil be cheap and it has card draw and top deck manipulation to synergize it. But lookig at the deck it just doesnt look that great. Maybe it is better than I think, but I expected more from it is mainly what I am saying. If we compare it to the Simic list, I think this one falls short. But we wil have to see when it gets played. I mean, many thought the Bello deck wasnt that great, because of how the commander and deck work. But I have been winning with it quite frequently. Really just hope they add interesting new cards and some good reprints to the other 2 decks. Maybe my dissapointment also comes from the deck looking quite similar to other Enchantment based decks. We have had quite a few in recent years lets not forget. 🤷🏼

@@dachivale5319 the simic deck has some great value and I appreciate the Aesi and Ashaya reprints while also being the perfect ways to hit extra land drops in a precon because those don’t come by too often. I also agree that we have had many many enchantment decks over the past couple years that do enchantments in their own ways and I’m honestly hoping this is the last one for a while. This list probably wants upgrades to lands, a couple more interaction spells and removing some odd includes, whereas the simic deck probably wants to replace something like Eureka moment with Exploration. I think the simic deck only needs to increase its speed whereas this one needs a bit more work put into it. I’m also hoping we have some solid includes included in the other decks, though! I just don’t think this one is as bad as a lot of people say and I was actually more disappointed with the simic deck than this 😅 simic lands and value really gets old. I was constructing it and got bored doing so, even with the possibilities of blinking a face down omniscience or Ulamog 😭

There's nothing that can deal with removal or an early rush here and if Aminatau gets knocked out(which she will), the deck is basically floating around praying to have enough mana to cast some random bomb that will just get countered anyways.
