Harbor Freight has pretty good stuff. And as you say, pretty good is good enough for 98% of the things I need to do as a homeowner. Why should I pay more for better tools when I will never need the extra features? Great video.

I think the best thing I've bought so far is the Bauer 20v chainsaw. I don't cut down anything big but to trim limbs and cut down volunteer trees that got too big it's a great homeowner tool and saves me a lot of time from using a hand saw. The Bauer corded recip saw with a wood blade is a great help too, especially roots.

Agreed on that red cart. Nice buy. I stole some space from the bottom shelf, which I wasn't planning on using much, by pairing the top hole of the middle shelf with the lower hole in the frame, then drilling new holes for the lower bolts. It was purchased mainly to haul yard stuff from the driveway to the backyard and groceries from the truck to the kitchen but it keeps finding new niches all over in the garage. Might have to get another. I actually covet the same size poly cart, but you can buy two of these for less than one of those. The two shelf version of this cart is not stable enough and racks terribly, you'll notice that in store if you wiggle it.
@ToolswithSoAlz3 жыл бұрын
Understandable, on the two shelf cart. I have it and my wife uses it in the kitchen, instead of an island. It does well enough for her. I was thinking of comparing it to the Hyper Tough @Wal-Mart as they are priced about the same. I think it would be interesting.

I’ve got 5 kids. As each on purchased their first car I got them a Harbor Freight tool set - mostly so they would leave mine alone. With that tool set they had the instructions to, as they broke, to purchase a better quality tool. Why, if they used it enough to break it that was a tool they were using.

I don't care what anyone says about Horbar Frieght tool's when something brakes they will trade it in no questions asked. Try that with snap on truck or home depot. I was given a saws all for Christmas years ago to cut metal wood and just about everything else. Never burned out the whole time I had it. The only thing I didn't like about it the aline wrench to change the blade . The new one need no wrench just lift up pull the switch quick blade change or take the blade off for storage.

Maybe it's the Harbor Freight stores I've been to (about 3) but it seems to me that everyone who works there is an a$$hole! Maybe that's their shtick so you think you got a good deal. Then again, maybe it's a CHINESE thing! Personally, I'll stick to Lowes whenever I need to hit a B&M for basic stuff like drills & hand tools. FYI: Lowes sells Craftsman and honors the same warranty you used to get with Sears. Even Home Depot has pretty good stuff like Milwaukee power tools. But for the more specialized stuff, I'll probably check out a few pawn shops or maybe even Amazon before I go back to another Harbor Freight store. But I will admit, I probably will be comparing prices, just not buying anything until the idiots who work there realize who the customer is -- and who keeps them employed.

I can't disagree with what you're saying. HF does tend to get employees that are maybe lacking on the motivational scale. However, I did this video because so many people do go there and I wanted to share my opinion on what the best tools to purchase there.
