Hey guys, back with another Fallout 4 Countdown video and today I figured I'd go over some of the best side quests and side missions are in Fallout 4! I think that these Top 10 are definitely among my favorite side quests and side missions in Fallout 4!

Absent Unity the prydwen doesn't have any sort of built in weapon system besides the veritbirds minguns, plus that balloon holding up the aircraft may be a winning blow if they don't fuck it royally.

I was pretty underwhelmed by it, considering everybody in the freaking Commonwealth tells you to go there. (And how do they know? It's in the middle of freaking nowhere.) You wander through the museum, you fight one enemy. Yawn. I guess what you do with the item afterwards is enough to justify it being on the list, though.

Grinding that turret hallway costed me a 1/3 of the profit-scrap for Med-X every time I slept for 24 hours, and that's on Very Hard. Even worse, half the scrap is used as rent for the shops I build to keep the Pain-Plains running. That settlement is poorly designed!

The USS Constitution mission was a wasted opportunity. Afterall, you have a faction based upon Revolutionary Era America, and you have both a ship and captain from the War of 1812. So pray tell me why we can't have our own Prydwin for the Minutemen?

When I did Devils Due, when I entered the museum the body above me on the second floor was slowly dragged away by the deathclaw. Easily the most terrifying part of Fallout 4

8:03 For the quest “Hole In The Wall” (#5), one thing that people need to know, is that if the vault 81 mole rat bites you once, you lose 10 of your max HP forever that cannot be cured - unless you give yourself the cure over Austin, which isn’t recommended. To survive the mole rats of Vault 81 without getting bit and without mods, what I did is stocked up on 80+ frag mines and scattered them everywhere in known spawn locations. Sneaking does not work and eventually they’ll wake up after you traverse some stairs. Important: do NOT bring a companion with you, because they will lose 10 of their max HP forever also if they are hit.

Devil's due was something else. I had brought the egg back to the nest, and I see at the corner of my screen a deathclaw sliding down the hill. It scared the shit outta me and wasn't expecting it to come to the nest. But the vibe of the place and then seeing a damn deathclaw scared me.

It's just kinda sad that 99% of the quests in FO4 are just "go to point B, kill everything and pick up item X, and then come back/go to point C and tell someone." Kinda gets old real quick. FO3 had some better options by solving through dialogue, puzzle solving, or using non-combat skills. FO3: mile wide and foot deep; FO4: 3 miles wide, half inch deep.

HeroForHire I've only ever played 4, but I watched a really good in depth video about why fallout 3 is better than everyone says it is, and after watching it i can totally agree. 4 gets pretty repetitive, but at the same time, I think fallout 4 was much better in terms of the atmosphere of each quest being different. All of fallout 3's locations from what I've seen were just generic gray destroyed buildings. Each location I. Fallout 4 was different not only in the way it looks, but the way being there makes you feel. While 3 and new Vegas' style choices would suit almost any other post apocalypse game or movie, fallout is different because everything was modeled after what people in the 50s saw the future as. 3 and new Vegas looked like what we currently think the future would look like in the computer age.

At the end of Jamaica plain there is a bunch of tripwires that will activate minigun turrets. Instead of wasting time by disabling every single tripwire. Bring codsworth send him through let him destroy some turrets. Then when he goes down pick off the remaining ones. I did this at lvl 7 with a rocket launcher it was very effective

#9 Is interesting: If you travel long time with the egg, bot will complain that it has been in sewers etc. and thus cannot be served! Also, for #7, you can get the blade behind the painting even before completing the quest! Hated #2. Just not for me that one.

About half of those quests suck though. Pickman quest was awesome though. Jamiaca plain quest was boring as hell, you just kill ghouls and disarm a bunch of trip wire. the witch museum was mildly interesting with the suspense piece, but it could have been better if I didn't give the egg to the robot maybe. The big dig was an annoying little maze with little substance. The vault 81 quests were meh, although it is always interesting to learn about all the vaults. Cabot house was definitely interesting about the serum stuff. Silver Shroud is one of the best with the dialogue, even though you are doing basic objectives. The herb quest, the robot vault quest, and the US constitution quest I haven't done yet. I wish they worked harder on quests than on anything else. The game feels half empty, I guess I'm still recovering from New Vegas Fever and/or quests from previous Bethesda game quests were better. You still have my support Puma regardless of your opinion of the quests or perhaps fallout 4 quests suck so much that those are the best.

Great criticism, FNV sides quests do have more substance. Fallout 4 sides quests lack depth. There's about three to five quests Vanilla game has that are very fun. Cabot House, Diamond City Blues, Silver Shroud, n USS Constitution. I do wish I could replay them because they're very fun.

Let me say this right now. SAVE before taking on the Hole in the Wall quest, & every time you kill a mole rat and _don't_ contract the "mole rat disease". That way, yes you _can_ get the rewards for completing it.

There are slight differences between the mod and the Quest in the DLC if you look closely. Like the robots in the mod being Protectrons. While in the DLC they are robobrains not to mention it was who went into the vaults. I just think the Fan's of the mod were just too mad or something to notice.

Just a word of warning for anyone planning to do 'Trip to the Stars' though. I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but in every playthrough I've had, upon reaching the "spaceship" in the junkyard and being given the objective to go inside, I've found that usually the door is inoperable even after putting fusion cores in the slot outside, so on PC you may want to use console commands to force the door to unlock itself. If the glitch happens on a console...well, you're shit out of luck. Also, while Pickman's Blade is arguably one of the best melee weapons available in the vanilla game, it, like other unique weapons from the base game, was made obsolete by a better weapon from the DLC, in this case by the Throatslicer in Nuka World.

I did, and she kept getting stuck in a loop where she'd say to wait for the others to catch up...even when they're clearly all standing there, alive and well. Now note that she'd give me the Hub's Alien Blaster, but they'd refuse to enter the ride. After using the console to force the door to unlock, then entering myself, then they'd follow me inside and the quest would proceed normally.

You can always get Pickman's blade if you know where it is, if you have high enough lockpicking you don't even have to meet Pickman before getting it. I have tried doing the quest and getting the key, killing Pickman and taken the key from his pocket, picked the lock, taken the knife and gone and used it on Pickman. Picking the lock and just leaving again, because I wanted the knife but didn't feel like doing the quest.

You can go back to the USS Constitution after it voyaged by using the elevators in the building it crashed it and Ironsides promotes you to the rank of Lieutenant and gives you a sweet Lieutenant hat.

You don't have to kill any deathclaw in devil's dues. I did this quest at level 2. Just run past the deathclaw in the house and you can grab the loot off the body, she won't be able to get you because she's too big, before you leave, you can loot the boss chest if you're quick.

'Brain Dead' also starts if you locate the vault yourself while exploring, as I did. Also, since you have included DLC content in your video, what about 'Amoral Combat' from Nuka World. Although it's not much of a quest, consisting of a succession of one on one fights, you are rewarded with Aeternus, a legendary Gatling laser.

There should of been a quest in which you become a Diamond City Guard and it would kind of be like the quest where you join the Van Graffs in Fallout New Vegas and have ti guard their store and random people would say take one too many chems and start hitting people in Diamond City. And that way you could get the Diamond City Guard gear without killing one of the guards.

That SVT-40 mod is a really good mod. Who ever did it paid very close attention to detail on the SVT-40. I hate the tape though. I always make mine "pristine" Reminds me of my two SVT-40's I once had. I sold those guns for $200 each back in the day when they were plentiful and everywhere. Now they're almost $1000 each. Greatly regret selling them. When I bought them they were $150 each and a Mosin Nagant was $75. That day I bought two SVT-40, one Mosin Nagant, two SKS, two cases of 7.62x54R ammo which is 880rd per case and two cases of 7.62x39 which was 1120rds per case. My final bill was just over $1500.
