to be honest with the final fact in this video. stoneflux pauldron has ALWAYS had 1 situation where it's useful and that's when you have too much movement speed and don't get lucky for a scrapper or can't be bothered to use one to trim down to a more manageable amount of movement speed. however most people either are careful enough to avoid that situation and or are too big headed to acknowledge there is a time stoneflux pauldron can be useful.

Great video. You're my favourite Ror2 content creator and I can't pretend I wasn't dissappointed with the videos post DLC release. For a lot of people we just had to get used to the new norm and move on (can't really downpatch on consoles etc) and yet I totally understand why you were upset with everything, it's your JOB how can you play with something actively working against you! Agreed, thanks for adding some positivity amid the disappointment the DLC brought. It's understandable that RoR2 youtubers/streamers were so negative initially since their income is actually affected by the state/popularity of this game, but it was hard to hear so much negativity when players were already kind of disappointed and frustrated.

stuff like sonorous whispers and bead printers aren't good. They're fun the first few times you mess with them, but instant wins like that do nothing to make the game better longterm

Just came by to say, was playing a game (vanilla) with my friend who got Sonorous Whispers. It bugged a bit as only the elites dropped items, not the large enemies (non-boss bosses). I was the one hosting, so could be a client-host issue or something.

Your complaints were well justified. Even in current patch, after fixing the elite spawns, I'm currently overwhelmed by non elite spawns. Feels like I kill 1 elite imp, and 7 elder lemurians spawn in its place. The game is in a bad state. I'm glad many people still get enjoyment playing, but that doesn't mean the concerns are invalid.

i disagree with disliking shrine of shaping, but only because i mostly am playing in multiplayer and it feels like shit when you're not playing seeker and your friend dies to something and then ends up being put behind so they are more likely to die on the next stage and it just snowballs, the shrine of shaping makes it easier for situations like these to keep a run fun for everyone. i do get the arguments against it and losing the credits that could be used on more items does suck but overall i do enjoy it because of multiplayer.

the big reason why it's not bad in multiplayer imo is just that you get more credits so it takes away a much smaller percentage of the items you would've got

I feel like the negativity was largely misplaced. Capitalism is bad, greedy execs shoved out the update while it was still cooking. Look at any game that released in an amazing state, then look back a few builds and you'll see something like SoTS. The devs probably got a lot of hate, despite doing exactly what devs were supposed to do, develop the game. It's not their fault it released early. Frankly, it's not the executives' fault either, they were just playing the game called capitalism. We should shake our fist at the clouds (the clouds are capitalism), do our best to change the system (help advocate for game dev unions and worker protections), and suck it up. All this whining about the state of SoTS felt so long winded when the only thing to say was "they released it too early, somebody was greedy." I felt bad for RayDans when he cried over it, but part of me was like "why are you surprised?" And the community really stepped up and helped mod out the parts of the game they didn't like. Impressive work al'round.
