Leviathan tips: -Leviathans can often be outspeeded with a Jetfish or other means. -Will eat anything, killing a (jetfish, salamander etc) and throwing it near the leviathan will most likely distract it giving enough time for you to slip over it. -Leviathans suprisingly don’t eat a lot, after eating enough food it will go into a passive state where it simply swims without attempting to eat. -While time consuming simply waiting for an opportunity while the leviathan is distracted is an option. -Leviathans scare off most any creatures, luring it near you could provide risky protection.

I don’t think they have a eating limit more just that after the eat something they temporarily don’t want to eat anything else, probably cause those jaws hurt to be used, cause I have feed them a lot in sandbox and they never stop eating they just have long pauses in between

The first time I ran into one of these suckers I was playing with my more experiences friend Wyvern. We were calmly swimming and went through a pipe. The water was rippling a lot but they said it was safe, so we dove in and continued on our watery way. Barely even five seconds into our swim, Wyvern went "Wait. Oh no. SWIM BACK, SWIM BACK, GET TO THE PIPE!" and we start booking it back to the pipe as this MONSTROCITY APPEARS ON SCREEN AND CLOSES THE DISTANCE RAPIDLY! Wyvern got taken out immediately and I was going to stop and try to rescue them, but they were like "No!! Keep going!! Save yourself, it's too late for me!" and I made it into the pipe right before the leviathan got me too. I'm really bad at surviving on my own, so I immediately found a shelter and rested so they could be back with me 😂 Terrifying encounter! Scared me half to death lmao

a theory my friend told me was that the leviathans, miros birds, vultures, and miros vultures (lmk if I'm forgetting anything else) were created by either the iterators for protection (as all of the above creatures inhabit areas close to Five Pebbles and Looks to the Moon) or the ancients to protect their home (a.k.a the iterators and their cities) Since they all have some sort of mechanical parts, I'd say its a reasonable theory

Well Moon couldn’t have created the Leviathans, as by the time they began to appear, Moon collapsed, since she first did back when Shoreline was Waterfront Facility. And I doubt Pebbles created well, we know him enough to not create that

​@@mewCaedinOne of the colored pearls talks about bioengineered organisms that were created for specific purposes. Moon refers to herself and the slugcat as such organisms when she reads it. All of this implies that all creatures we see were likely created by the Ancients, for different purposes. And the Ancients (except for echoes) are not around anymore. So they must have created the leviathans a long time ago. It's unlikely iterators created them, even though we know for sure one other iterator did create/modify a Slugcat (Spearmaster). It's also possible the leviathan evolved over time, as we see some other creatures have evolved in different campaigns. But I definitely buy the theory that the larger animals are guardians of the iterator cans and cities, since the guardians in the depths exist.
