Obviously Breath of the Wild happened before skyward Sword hence Calamity Ganon destroying the cycle by giving up reincarnation and Demise reinstating the curse for future generations. Also a side note Wind Waker Link would have defeated Thanos, because he aims for the head.

You can't add something that's not cannon or in the zelda games. Not to mention that ganondorf was clearly not happy with working woth them and had his own motives. Also, the zelda series literally has an official timeline so it's not really much wiggle room with it. Although the timeline is heavily debated you have to go with what the creator's word

So...I've been thinking about your coment and I think that ganon achieved his dark beast form using all the pain and sufering caused by his past defeats and post resurections By the way, in my opinion I always thought that calamity ganon was no longer consious of his actions, just pure evil that only wishes to destroy everything reincarnated over and over again in a cicle that hi can't control. That's pretty deep stuff And I wonder if we will be able to see the human form of this villain in future games.

Link interrupts this evolution period and what we see is an incomplete incarnation of Ganon, which would explain the humanoid skull with the signature amber jewel in it's forehead.

The english version make sense While Zelda say CG gave up on reincarnate (which it true technically) he gave up reincarnating in his human form to become Dark beast ganon Zelda outright say at the ending of BotW that CG will be back so for now they should focus on rebuilding Hyrule. Beside Wind Waker, we actually never see Ganondorf talking about his motives for acquiring the triforce beside seemingly wanting more power. But power for what? Seems like he wanted his people, the Gerudo, to acquire more decent lands than just desert - where they were cast out for seemingly not following the Hyrulian laws in Ocarina of time. Ganondorf became the hero of the Gerudos because he seemed to have promised them more lands and recognition. We also know that in Twilight Princess, The Twilight People, who initially came from Hyrule were cast out in another world because they again didnt respect the laws. We now understand why the Twilight people would follow Ganon. Last but not least, it is said in Breath of the Eild that the king of Hyrule himself forbid the Sheikas to use their power... at all. He didnt say that he disnt want them to use their power against him . Just that they couldnt use it anymore. Leaving an entire people unarmed and obedient. Some chose to obey the king, others formed a clan, the Yigas, to ensure that Ganon would stay powerful. Why? Seems he offered more to these three clans, the Yigas, the Gerudos and the Twilight People than the king of Hyrule did. So my point is... perhaps Ganondorf is shown as an Evil King as propaganda from the Hyrule King and Zelda. Link is basically just a pawn between two royalties. And as the King of Hyrule said: "Perhaps a King who as made such a bad job at ruling shouldnt ask "Link" to save his people." ....he casually admited at being a bad ruler. Ruling out of fear of rebellion, isnt a good way to rule. Making everyone happy should be the goal. Thus, Ganondorf isnt evil just because of a curse. But also because an impopular King did wrong to some people resulting in said people rebelion. The end.

One minor detail she missed with "he doesn't kill children," is false. In Ocarina of Time while Link is talking to Nabooru, she stated "I would never bow to such an evil man... he even killed women and children!" Ganondorf did not kill Link or Zelda in the beginning because without them, there would have been no way to obtain the Triforce and ultimate power. They were pawns, nothing more.

In Ocarina of Time, the main reason why he doesn't kill child Link was because he highly suspected him to hold the keys to the Door of Time (which he did), so he essentially manipulated Link to do the work for him, seizing his opportunity when the Master Sword put Link into a slumber. If anything, this shows how cunning he is, since he certainly didn't do it out of "good will" or morals.

And to top it off had child Link just been some random, useless kid, Ganondorf would have straight up murdered him and we KNOW this because despite needing child Link to do his bidding, he STILL attacks him, knocking him down. So he definitely wasn’t trying to be “nice” or anything. ...you still could literally just kill the kid and search his belongings, then grab the ocarina himself. Yet he didn’t. And chasing after Zelda and Impa vs just blasting her with magic is highly inefficient. So...him choosing to not involve children (well, sorta) is still pretty valid. He also chose to essentially lay seige to the various tribes vs...just killing them from the start and taking the Stones? (Ruto was in charge of one, and how hard is it really to take another from a talking tree?) Which, resulting to siege tactics when negotiations fail still ain’t cool. Buuuut...the Hylian King suspiciously doesn’t lift a finger to help the tribes that swore fealty to him? (And ChildLink wasn’t technically any sort of goddess-chosen hero yet. WHY the Deku Tree sent for “the boy without a fairy” to kill gohma isn’t really ever explained, unless he’d rather risk the hylian foster child vs a kokiri. They DID have a blade and another kokiri teach Link basic swordsmanship...not like the childlike Kokiri were any less capable at the time)

It's been a question that's been floating around since Skyward Sword. Who's really in control, Gannondorf or demise? Also, I don't think Calamity Gannon ended the curse, just his own reincarnation. So, theoretically the curse is still in effect until all three components cease to exist. There have been other big bads beside Gannondorf, Vati for instance.

I believe that Gannondorf in Wind Waker was not possessed by Ganon/Demise's Hatred. Ganon was defeated in the adult timeline at the end of Ocarina of Time, effectively separating Gannondorf and Ganon. Gannondorf returns in Wind Waker, Ganon doesn't. Yes, he lost it and went berserk when he lost his wish upon the Triforce, but he was not consumed by evil, he remembered his true reason for trying to claim Hyrule, a purpose fuelled by compassion, not hatred.

I remember reading a pretty good fanfic about ganondorfs life growing up and it showcased how hard the lifestyle in the dessert was (there was one scene when he was like 7 yrs old that the Gerudo were facing a shortage of food and one of the Gerudo gave births to twins and due to barely having enough for 1 extra mouth she was forced to leave one of the infants behind as they moved through the desert. He tried to look back to the infant left behind crying in the dunes but Kotake and Koume guided his gaze back forward reminding him that as their future king he needs to be looking forward) also a big thing was the Hyrule civil war in the story. During it he was around 20 and one of his closests friends (they kind of dance around if he had feelings for her) during the war a battle went sideways and a large contingent of Gerudo warriors were cut off while ganondorfs forces were forced to retreat leaving his friend behind The next time we see this friend is when ganondorf after the Gerudo tortured a sheikah spy to learn where their prisoners were taken led a rescue mission……which lead them into the shadow temple, the sheikah were torturing his people for any information to use during the war, ganondorf found his friends body emaciated brutally tortured and thrown down a shaft where the bodies of the dead were left to rot……this scene changed him from wanting to simply win the war to expand Gerudo territory to more habitable land to sustain his people, and changed it to wanting to have the king of Hyrule be forced to see piles of his people and those he personally cared for to be disregarded pile of torn up corpses and have his entire kingdom razed to ashes. The ending of the story was the first scene we see ganondorf in OoT but from his perspective and ends with him seeing movement out of the corner of his eye and looking over to see Link and Zelda looking at him thru the windo

The english text in BOTW is different than the japanese. The translation in japanese says "The Calamity has ended". Not Ganon as a whole, but the current state of him. Plus the japanese text states that he has a refusal to give up revival. To further this in the english text Zelda says ganon is gone for now. Not forever. FOR NOW. Disproving that one point. This list is more or less how ganondorf is a successful/smart villain as opposed to the "best" things he has done

What was chosen as number 1, that he, as Agahnim, magically cleared up the drought, pestilence, and other disasters, shouldn't have been chosen. I'm more than sure that when he created Agahnim and slipped him into Hyrule, that that was when these disasters actually started. He himself MOST LIKELY caused them, which is why he was able to easily get rid with of them with unseen magic.

Technically... you’re not evil in your own eyes. What people consider evil can be what you consider doing what’s right. Now, I’m not saying that for everything cuz there are some things that are obviously wrong and you know is wrong no matter who you are or what you believe. But like war, the side you’re fighting is considered evil to you. Cuz they’re your enemy. But the same goes for them. You’re just fighting for what you believe/want to protect or so on. Yes, his actions do say otherwise, but I believe he has this good mind on choosing proper actions when he actually posses the Triforce and the power he needs to rule Hyrule. Do we ever get to see him ruling? No, because Zelda and Link always slay him, giving him no chance whatsoever to prove his point. Link and Zelda are so set on their "duty" to kill and stop Ganondorf and "save" Hyrule and it's people (ironic, since the Gerudo are basically dying out) that we never experience Ganondorf actually ruling. Then we could judge him as a villain or not. And don't mix it up with Calamity Ganon in Breath of the Wild, since it's a beast not Ganondorf, a man. Aren't they acting more like the villains if they keep their slaughter and pointless war up? Do we ever see Zelda and Link attempting to make peace with Ganondorf and stopping the endless cycle? Yes, maybe because of Demise's curse that would fail, but at least Zelda and Link could try. So that's why I think Ganondorf isn't bad (he's trying to save his people in the first place) and he deserves a chance.

Ganondorf ruled Hyrule for 7 years in OoT, whenever he didn't get what he wanted he cursed people. He also turned castle town into a deserted tomb like town. He was also the king of the Gerudo.

I would argue that gannondorf abandoned his people in OOT. Gannondorf ruled hyrule for seven years before link returned and defeated him. That would have been plenty of time for him to move his people from the harsh dessert to the beautiful hyrule, and its not like there wasn't enough room for them to live. The entire castle town had been abandoned and was more than large enough to house the population of gerudo that you see in the gerudo fortress. But despite this not one gerudo is seen in hyrule after the take over. Instead the bridge leading between the lands is destroyed effectively trapping the gerudo out of the kingdom that gannondorf claims to have conquered for his people.

It's really one of the few scenes where it portrays what we are trying to say. We try matching what we are showing to visually represent what is being said. A lot of channels will just let an entire 20 second or minute long clip play while they talk about something that matches it, but then they start talking about something else and the scene just continues. It's incredibly lazy and shows they don't care. So, if other scenes did exist which conveyed what we were saying. We would use it. However, we are forced to use what we are provided with. I guess, some channels also just use a single image for their entire paragraphs, but again, we don't do that.

I personally believe he tried to conquer hyrule more for himself than for his people. You never see any of the gerudo even leave the desert in ocarina of time after Ganondorf conquered hyrule which suggests they didn’t care that much about living in the desert. This feels like more of a an act of jealousy rather than a king helping his people. But I still feel he is justified in his jealousy if you compare the gerudo desert to hyrule. Edit: isn’t it very plausible that Ganon is the one who caused those misfortunes to hyrule in a link to the past the first place? Granted, at least he was merciful.

My theory is that the Gerudo were cursed, and likely the Twin Rova sisters were the ones behind the curse. Perhaps they were outcasts looked down upon by other Gerudo for not being great worries and relying so much on dark magic that they cursed them to only have a son once every hundred years, whom as the ultimate part of their revenge, they would try to manipulate, brainwash, and control to be their instrument of vengeance and power.

Ganondorf did one more good thing that isn't on the list. Well, he tried with that, at least. He probably tried to enforce a mask policy. You see, the Zelda games play in a post apocalyptic Kingdom that fell back into medieval times. That means, no modern medicine is avaiable in Hyrule. And that means that diseases must spread like wild fire in Hyrule. Even tho Ganondorf wasn't exactly successful with enforcing a mask policy, at least the Gerudo who did wear a mask in Ocarina of Time, did know how to wear it properly. Wheras the Gerudo from BotW, when they are wearing masks, they wear it under their nose. Imagine needing literal Satan to teach you how to wear a mask properly. Yall bitches need Ganondorf!
