*Bought this for my daughter's college apartment **Fastly.Cool** in my room. and she and her friend installed it in a couple hours. She reports that it works well and cools the apartment efficiently. Excellent value!*

Yes but maybe it’s good that they didn’t, the issues with the water tank is a deal breaker for most.

I purchased a Soleus air conditioner, but the one I purchased is a portable air conditioner. but the other videos I watched didn't list it. so I'm still curious how it will compare with other similar air conditioners.

For as small it is, it's super strong. Keeps all of upstairs cool and after an hour or 2 keeps all of downstairs cool. Great summer AC

I like the Midea U Maw because I don’t have to use any plywood for the side of the air conditioner! It’s pricey but; I’ll definitely think about purchasing it if I spend the winter months in Florida.

I know of an innovative idea. One that can be used with side sliding windows since most homes that were built since maybe after the 1950's, are side sliding and not up and down.

Really? I stock drywall in newly built houses every single day and rarely ever see side sliding windows. Maybe its a location thing?
@tarasanders10212 жыл бұрын
I’ve never lived in or seen up and down windows in a house. Every home I’ve ever lived in has size slide windows. I’ve lived in Cali, Washington , Idaho and Nevada. Maybe it’s an eastern US thing.

How do the various apps compare against each other? Do they all recirculate or are some only drawing outside air and taxing the unit? How durable are the components? What brand removes the most humidity? RF or IR remotes? Can you schedule them? Any useful information please???

It would be great if you showed more ac units that can work as heaters as well, maybe in future do top 10 reverse cycle window air conditioners.
@Robert-tl9pt3 жыл бұрын
One thing he didn't mention is look at the CFM the unit blows, CFM= cubit foot a minute of air it will blow. If you have a large room you should look at the LG model LW1516ER it is 15,000 BTU and will move 505 CFM. And that's a lot of air, Trust me it's the best for a large area.

I stat in hostel, room 8 by 15 size. Is there a window AC that can be installed without drilling the sides of window?? I want it to be removable n installed without help

Do this window units connect to a regular 120v or does it need a 240v? Also deciding if I should just go with a heater $400 right now for my 3 car garage man cave fully insulated here in Clovis California zone 9b and in the summer time get one of this window ac units for $500 to cool it off or just get a Mr cool minisplit system that has both for $1600? ? my garage is about 620sq ft with 8 ft ceiling hight. I have epoxy floors, pool table , darts and gym on the other side😁
@TheDigitalslayer2 жыл бұрын
Most window units that are 12,000 BTU and lower use 115/120v as their power source.

Where is the product that is on your thumbnail??????
Showing me people using their mobile or drinking a water or reading a book won’t let me decide what ac I should buy
@enlilofnippur84093 жыл бұрын
Lots of these reviews seem to hinge on the BTU and dehumidification capacity. Those vary more by the size of product you get from any one company vs the actual brand; most brands come in a variety of sizes, and square footage is standard per BTU, so why keep rehashing this?! Yes, 8,000 BTU cools 350 square feet... duh... that will be true regardless of brand. This guide would have been MUCH more helpful if it had focused more on the features that are *unique* to the brand rather than rehashing basics that are true to every brand.

The problem with window ones is that there heavy and if you live on the first floor they can be stolen and easy access to someone getting inside of an apartment. So I’ll stick with portable floor air conditioners with the hose.

you never talk about how reliable the brand is ....... I sold ACs for a number of years and know some brands last a long time and others crap out after a couple of years ........ I would want to know which brand has the most problems and which don't ............ I can give you a good example is FREDERICK ACs which were once made in TEXAS but in 2008 they move their manufacturing plant to Mexico and the quality of their units took a nose dive and won't last ....... their quality isn't what it use to be and the company I worked for stopped carrying them because of all the service problems they were having with the FREDERICK brand

Thank you for your valuable feedback. We apologize your concern.
@danielparrish54383 жыл бұрын
@@Top10Zone from my personal experience I recommend the FRIGIDARE 18,000 BTU models ........ they last between 10 and 12 years if maintained correctly and have the advantage that even when their features have been upgraded the size of the case has remained the same ,,,,,,, as a result if mounted in the wall all you have to do is slide out the old and slide the new unit in to the same case .......... this saves a lot of time and trouble on installations
@TheSjh1963 жыл бұрын
I cant stand the noise level on any portable ac unit . It’s more annoying than the heat itself

AC’s suck now because they putting all those digital crap in them and they go down faster. I had one that would turn off when the filter was dirty. And even when you clean the filter and reset the timer it would still shut off. POS
