The Midea units have a mold problem and you'll regret buying them after your first summer. I have two of them and they both have mold issues. Cleaning it is exremely difficult as you have to take it apart and its very involved. Not worth buying stay away!

Doesn’t the mold comes from the water? If you have the unit tilted back enough then the water should leak out. I thought that’s what you are supposed to do with all window units. I have two of the midea units. A 12000btu for the living room and a 5000btu unit for the master bedroom. So far it has got the job done with no issues. It’s better than spending a small fortune on fixing the central ac unit.

@@miguelrobb5719 the blower inside accumulates moisture and dirt which creates an environment for mold. The water that the unit makes is drained out but this other issue is separate. Since the actual blower fins get dirty and moldy it requires the user to take off the front of the unit to clean the blower. This wouldn’t be much of a problem if they didn’t make it so incredibly difficult to do. It will eventually happen to you at some point and you’ll then be pissed off.

@@miguelrobb5719newer for years now window air conditioners do not drip drain outside anymore. It spins the water in a fan wheel to evaporate the water. Stupid new technology. Hence mold issues.

@@Kay-ws2kk the model I have drains the water outside and leaves a big puddle on the bottom of the unit.

How about a video for window AC’s for slider windows? Most people don’t have double hung windows. And why are all the links for these through Amazon? Not the place I would buy an AC unit.

Know like a waterpipe as windpipe(border sharp wind) to shield from gas throws from outside? Like border of it or the filter really works? Imagination of sleepgas, dormicum, Subutex is dangerous. Maybe placement can evade it or a kind of big aluminium pipe to get the point of air that's unreachable to gases from outside? Usually they maybe will do like a rodpipe and gas in it and entry into room window small opening anyway. Some houses(tall structures) the fan is at a place that nobody can walk anyway, if any gases should be neighbours.
