I appreciate your hard work and your vid..but.... I know you had many choices but you failed to mention KK Arnold and Ashlyn Shade of UCONN. KK has been freshman of the week three times already. Shade has been Freshman of the week twice. They're stellar. They do more than score. Their defense is crazy, especially KK's.

You should check out the uconn freshmen as a group, in their most recent game, they combined for 49 points going 25-31 FG, ashlynn shade scored 8 straight points without a miss, (missed only 2 shots) 4 of these FG were three pointers, combined, they had 9 steals (kk Arnold had 7) and did not miss any shot in the first half. The previous game, ashlynn shade had her career high 22 points whilst being incredibly efficient, kk Arnold is one of the best defensive players in the freshmen group, all whilst uconn plays one of the hardest schedules in the country, two freshmen are in the starting line ups, qadence Samuels had 17 points against nc state which they lost. Ashlynn shade is shooting 53.8%, kk Arnold is 54.4%. Just an incredible start for these freshmen.

@@fanrankings I think scoring isn’t the only thing that she can provide, specially if you’re in a team like uconn, with seniors being the scorers, she has a big defensive impact on the team, whilst uconn plays tough opponents. Shade is an amazing shooter, averaging about 20 ppg her last couple of games, conference play is about to start, real competition on the way!

@@violetforpb my bad, when I said "she didn't score higher on the Power Rankings" I meant I had her at #10 on my list but others didn't have her on their list and KK dropped off the Top 10. I respect defense, one of the reasons I like Hidalgo and Barnett-Gay. You're right though conference play is about to start and this list will definitely look different

Madison Booker is definitely in my top 10. She fits in perfectly and is a major reason that the University of Texas is a top 5 team in the country.

On McCowan. I'm biased as my daughter was best friends with her in HS, but as I write this (2/26/24) she sits third among NCAA freshman for points scored this season (behind Watkins & Hildago) and just scored 45 points in a game over the weekend.
