from SW ontario im a 28 year old that started playin at 7 or 8.. first ep ive watched and love your energy!! found you cuz of molly and billy, ive always had to hide my love of bluegrass cuz no one will listen to me play it hear, other then rush or CSNY no one likes the music i like.., my dad plays country 50s 60s 70s strums banjo as a novelty joke, shocked him when i started playing it and got a mando for us... so i even hid my love of old time music from my dad.. thanks to molly and billy I said F IT im only playing the music i love, ill never play any of the songs i use to play cuz i only use to play what other ppl wanted to hear, playing billys songs and flat picking 3 hours a day has made me better then ever, always play music for your self, cuz if you dont love it you wont play it with that fire in your belly that makes you play better. thanks boys, not meany ppl talk flat top its all les pauls and fenders on youtube

Hello Tony and Noah, watching today while restringing my Guild 12-string, long overdue so I'm using your show for motivation! So far I've got 6 on, phew! Trouble is, I keep finding high strings missing from all the packs that I have pilfered over several months everytime I busted one on my 6-string guitars! Aaaargh! I think the Jake Workman clip was part of his entry for the Flatpick Magazine online contest, which he won. He won a Preston Thompson guitar which I think was his first and I was lucky enough to be at the event in Kansas City where he was presented the Guitar, and also had a chance to meet him briefly. What a fantastic player and super guy. So I wasn't surprised to see he landed the gig with Ricky Skaggs.

Happy 100... Who the heck was number 9? I gotta listen to him some more... Sisters Oregon is an amazing little town, and very near one of my favorite fly fishing creeks in the North West. Molly Tuttle is stunning, I was at Targahee a few years ago when she was one of the featured artists at the Band Camp... she was brilliant and an amazing teacher and supporter of the folks taking the classes, yes she is amazing as an artist and person. What, you haven't seen Space Balls? hell the star has connections with Bozeman.... Also if you are ever in Missoula, like to run the Hootenany 100k, let me know I will bring you a bottle of vodka from the distillery I work at. I love the art on your walls, who did it? And the Rogue Ale is from fairly near where I grew up, a fun brewery to visit, at least it was when I could still drink real beer, celiac disease is a PITA. I love how Billy S. starts most songs with a very traditional approach, goes off into the ether and , ends up in the traditional style yes he's brilliant. Luke Lovejoy kept the Collings. He played a Bourgeois in the contest he won at Winfield which was graciously loaned to him for the contest by Bourgeois guitars. Bourgeois then built "The Championship D" in commemoration of Luke's win at Winfield. I think he did bring both home from Winfield. I've played both several times. (I sold Luke his first two guitars first when he was maybe 10 years old an Indiana Dakota then later a Blueridge BR-40. He took the BR-40 to Winfield 😮 and Bourgeois did him a solid by loaning Luke just a little better instrument 😊
