Madeline Khan is an absolute treasure and we lost her way too soon, one of the best comedic actresses ever, up there with Rosalind Russell.

During the table read of the Chicago film, John C. Reilly had the cast in tears when he finished singing "Mr. Cellophane".

That doesn’t surprise me. He did an amazing job in the movie.

Poor Amos, he's one of the most gullible, yet tragic characters in the entire musical. It's neat that John C. Reilly applied his own clown makeup for that number.
@kristashafer930987 ай бұрын
I read that the sequence of the clown makeup application was Riley’s idea and he pushed pretty hard to get it!

John C Reilly’s “Mister Cellophane” still makes me cry. 🩷🎶

It's crazy how many people don't know he can sing. So many people have commented on his singing in Walk Hard. My husband was like " oh wow he's actually a good singer". I was like "well, duh, he was in Chicago". He about blew a gasket thinking he was just a comedic actor with Step Brothers being where he got his start 😅

You'll be Back from Hamilton is hysterical! Adelaide's Lament makes me crack up. The Worst Pies in London is so funny! The line that kills me is spoken, though. When she says "Spic and span. That's my motto." Then, Mrs. Lovett kills a cockroach with her rolling pin and keeps rolling out her pie dough.

Yeah moments like that make me think it's the Baker not the poor quality meat. However buisness did improve when she got better ingredients.

Mr. Cellophane is an all time favorite of mine! John C. Reilly did a great job of it in the movie too. Adelaide's Lament is another favorite.

The Meek Shall Inherit from Little Shop Of Horrors If You Could See Her from Cabaret Master Of The House from Les Miz
@rafaelz621110 ай бұрын
If you could see her is a fucking GUTPUNCH. When that final line hits, it’s just… my god. Seeing it in london, the atmosphere in that song turned from fun, people laughing, to just. icy. It was like nothing i’ve felt in a theatre. Honestly a masterpiece of a song and I’m shocked it wasn’t included

Will NEVER tire of seeing Madeline Kahn singing "Not Getting Married". Yeah I'm a hardcore fangirl of the woman so that may cloud my judgement, but I have several friends aren't that into Madeline, but are still Broadway fans, who have said they think hers is the definitive version. She was such a gem.

Stop from Mean Girls the Musical. It's such a fun little ditty with a dance break that covers such lighthearted topics as getting a regretfully dumb tattoo, obsession coupled with stalking and bullying behavior, child neglect and prescription drug abuse, and minor coercion for the purpose of acquiring and distributing CP. Oh, and a little dash of parental abandonment at the end just for good measure lol.

Can I just fangirl about how Raúl Esparza can command a moment just by looking at everyone like they’re nucking futz? 16:27 ❤️
@angelagunn7986 Жыл бұрын
The entire Internet should be a safe space for Raúl Esparza celebration. The gentleman is a treasure.

I think a tie with WORST PIES IN LONDON from Sweeny Todd would be A LITTLE PRIEST.

"Poison In My Pocket" from A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder! It's so morbid but somehow you can't help but crack up at his internal monologue that intermingles morality and method of murder!

The community theatre in my hometown did "Spelling Bee" and they changed it to *distraction* instead of *erection* and it was somehow even funnier. 😂 Innuendo is my favorite form of humor so that's probably why...

Hasa Diga Eebowai is about how much an entire country sucks and gives the middle finger to God Himself and causes the entire theory to laugh uproariously so much so that they were afraid it would stop the show when it first started running.
