Thanks Thana - this is a good video, so many people talk about the parts but almost nobody gives people the price estimates, so it's so hard to judge what to expect - so thank you for this. I recently got a 2015 A4 1.8 myself after many weeks / months of researching, the car is 4 years old now and I'm hoping nothing major breaks. This version had the EA888.3 engine, so the common engine issues were already fixed like piston ring, timing belt tensioner, cam bridge etc. People - including the Audi Centre - told me that the loud squeaking noise from the electronic parking brake is normal and doesn't actually need any fixing, mine makes that squeaking noise when engaging or disengaging and it's quite loud. You're the first person who has highlighted to me that VAG cars have a common issue with the pump becoming weak, learned something new today. I'm happy with the car so far - but I'm also always very nervous about the "bomb" if something breaks.

cooling systems on Audi's like most contis are made of plastic, in the world of a global reliability test they do take these machine in even hotter condition than Malaysia hence no such thing as 'tropicalised cars' anymore..just cheaply made components, made to last 4 years max..getting into used Audi's are like jumping into a money pit..rather stay away unless you wanna be an automotive engineer by experience..lol

I was reading an article in this. They are designed to fail so it does not harm the engine but the car would light up like a Christmas Tree and ask you to stop. You have to be mechanically and emotionally savvy.... 🤣🤣🤣

In my opinion, this is more preferable for M40 and above. For those B40 and below, many people will be thinking of resale value. For sure, once day people will sell off their car due to boring or extreme damage. The higher resale value enables the buyer to decrease their burden to get another used/new car in future. Hybrid car has Zero Resale Value as the repair cost of hybrid is higher than market value. After damage of hybrid, you may sell to Kalang Guni (Recycle Shop) for RM2,000 according to my Foreman.

Helllo thana this is the best info about about a6 hybrid😀, i would like to ask u, if hybrid battery fail adakah the car still blh bergerak, bcoz i ve honda civic hybrid one, the battery hybrid is fail but the car still move but no tork power.

I guess it depends how the power is routed in the car. With the A6H, the hybrid battery will reduce capacity over the time and more likely the ACDC inverter will fail if anything. In that case, the supporting system like power steering, air conditioning etc won't work as it relies power through the inverter. I do think that the Civic Hybrid is a mild Hybrid though like the new A6 C8 and would still run even if the battery fails. Need to read up about it. Thanks for the words of encouragement again.

How's the average yearly/monthly maintenance cost for Audi A6H ? Very interested in purchasing it for mostly highway driving.

Maintenance items are servicing and wear and tear items. Servicing is same as any 2 litre engine that's European. 5 litres and oil and a 100 odd ringgit filter. Brakes lasts longer on hybrid as there's degenerative braking. Every 80k ATF change is 2k, water pump 2k, radiator fan 3 to 4k... and other normal bits and pieces. Find a good example with good service record from a good workshop and you'll be fine.

Thana Krishnan I see, it’s quite a bit cheaper than a 2010 Audi A7 which I currently own but I need something that is more fuel and money efficient. I don’t need the power the 3.0 puts out, it’s too much for me. I got it really cheap from a friend so that’s why I bought it.

@@GhastUnity the A7 on the 3.0 is beautiful and shares a lot with the A6. I would get cars after 2012 as there has been an engine revision as well as their electronic. Much more reliable on the A6 and the A7 after this period. Honestly if you got it cheap... Enjoy it, tune it and have a blast. Get another small car instead for the run about chores and you'll have fun driving and saving fuel at the same time. Buy a golf bro....

It's a great deal as well as a great car in terms of performance and specification. You need to be a car guy to understand the car and buy a good unit. It has been a great ownership experience to myself.

I'm not very experienced personally outside from what I read and what friends are using. No complaints that I hear except the one off parts like lights ballast and some unique control module that failed. Electronics seems to be the biggest drawback when it comes to any European car. Get it checked and even better buy from a used one from BMW and you should be fine. Comes to the drive.. I liked the Audi better. The 528i was more comfortable though.

The A5 being sporty attracts sporty drivers and many cars are pretty run down... find an unmodified one and if you can find a newer 2012 S5 or consider the S4 too. The 1.8T is to be avoided as it's underpowered for its size.

Solid platform. Nothing out of the ordinary issues with the cars besides any VAG car. Get a proper pre purchase Inspection and you'll be fine. If you want performance though... find a Quattro 2.0 version. It's a whole other beast

Depends where you are in your life... honestly if I was you, let other bear the depreciation loss. The alternative you gave is lack luster. I think spending half the price of a new X70 can give you more... even if you wanted a SUV and get a Tiguan. Get a new car ONLY if your time cost for the few times you need to sort stuff out is worth much more than the difference. You seem young in your journey.... live a little and have a little more fun. I wish my brother told me that early on I life and said that he'll be there to advise if anything happened. I'm here... do what your heart desires.

No rev counter but you won't need it. The car adapts electric and combustion. Booth space is a bummer. Agreed but I manage.

Yeah.. it'll shift by itself. When you are idle and rev... it'll even cut off the power and go fully electric. You can't break it
