Snarkas is very similar to the classic Italian playing card game Scopa, which is an old and classic game that is played a lot by Italians. If you like Snarkas, check out Scopa, which I suggest playing with an Italian playing card deck. Romi Rami is great and is such a fun modern take on Rummy! It's more thinky than I thought it would be trying to get all the scoring objectives, hahaha. Stool Pigeon's looks super fun that sounds like a mix of Golf, Cabo, Silver, or Rat-A-Tat Cat. I'll definitely have to get this one! Thanks for covering so many great games! I am going to have to check quite a bit of these out!

Vaalbara is such a nice game. Its juicy enough to be interesting without being too complex for newcomers.

I haven't played any of these games and I haven't even heard of half of them. I really liked Pick-a-Pepper this year. It fits that category of being simple to understand with simple cards (it's just a deck of numbers, essentially), but it involves interesting choices and tactical play. The biggest downside is that it is perhaps a bit long for the kind of game that it is. I also enjoyed That's Not a Hat, which surprised me a lot. You may not consider it a card game like the other games in this list as it is more of a memory and bluffing game.
