I did not hear anything about St Vincent and the Grenadines, especially the 32 Grenadines islands. When you are in the St Vincent you can hop from one Grenadines island to another without a passpost. You can snorkel in the beautiful turquoise water, and bathe in the sun on the white sandy beach. You can eat fresh and popular fruits like mangos sugar apples plums and many more. The people are very hospitable. It's a nice place to retire.

You're obviously very proud of your island but it does come across as a bit biased + inter-island rivalry eg why the capitals for the sizes of both islands? To someone retiring from North America, UK, etc, Jamaica will be tiny - a reason they may want to go there ie easy to get around/navigate, smaller communities, etc. Why the other words in capitals? Would be grateful if you could give examples what makes it amazing or what's the pleanty to do - would be really helpful. You say the news is misleading, again can you provide some reassuring facts for retirees as when I did my research I came across official data. Thanks

Research. Research. Research. But to get you started you might consider Nicaragua the largest country in Central America. Granada, Nicaragua where I lived for 3 months is very nice and very affordable. Most people there speak English and youncan live comfortably there on $1,500 or even less! Another one is Cambodia in Southeast Asia where I lived for 3 months. English is understood in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. Your $1,500 a month will work there too with money left over. Lastly, I’d recommend the Philippines where I lived for almost 3 years. A bit more expensive than the previous two but not by much. I love the Philippines and it is an English-speaking country! Good luck.

I was just about to make a comment about Puerto Rico. PR is one of the best tax havens for american's & the cost of living is very affordable. I also have to agree with you about the USVI as well. Another Common Wealth of the US. And you don't need a passport for PR & I'm assuming for the USVI. And in order to get that tax advantage, all you have to do is live there 186 days out of the year but you must be a Puerto Rican citizen. I'm definitely moving there once this pandemic subsides & live there half the year, then go Island hopping the other half of the year, along with traveling through East Asia, Australia, Europe & Africa. I'm doing it all. This pandemic got me appreciating that life isn't to be wasted on BS anymore. Get to living & less dying. Salud fam.
