Pokémon was all about collecting and documenting every species known at the time and Satoshi Tajiri was a bug collector hence the theme of "Gotta catch 'em all".

I remember watching The Shnookums And Meat Funny Cartoon Show as a kid but my mom wouldn't allow me to watch Ren & Stimpy. But now that I think about it (and having grown up watching a lot of Nickelodeon and seeing the promos), Shnookums and Meat was fun to watch but Ren & Stimpy was the better show. Even Cartoon Network's What A Cartoon Show (which some shorts knocked off Ren & Stimpy) was more edgier. As a kid, I loved watching The Powerpuff Girls. My sister, myself, and one of our friends would often pretend we were the Powerpuff Girls while jumping on the trampoline (I think we even argued who got to play Blossom few times). I never did watch Teamo Supremo, but then again I was 15 years old by the time it premiered and I had zero interest in the show by then.

Isn't it funny that Hanna-Barbara constantly rips themselves off? Both Scooby-Doo and The Smurfs had tons ripoffs that were produced by Hanna-Barbara. Scooby-Doo had shows like Jabberjaw, Josie & The Pussycats, Speed Buggy, and Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kids while The Smurfs had shows like Snorks, Paw Paw Bears, and The Biskitts to name a few for both.

Chip Chillas is actually disgusting. Imagine Bluey, except instead of teaching parents to treat their children like actual human beings with emotions, it tells them to break their kid's stuff when they don't listen. That is actually one of the lessons in one of the episodes, just actual abuse. Also, this is the one case in this video where they actually went out of their way to rip-off the original. They straight-up changed their art style mid-production and stole it from Bluey to try and fool viewers.

Here's an honorable (or dishonorable) mention: Moonbeam City - a short-lived rip-off of Archer that only lasted 1 season consisting of only 10 episodes that aired on Comedy Central from September to December 2015. The show was intended to be a parody of 80s cop shows such as Miami Vice and City Hunter, features a retro synthwave soundtrack by Night Club, and is drawn in the style of Patrick Nagel The premise is about a womanizing, incompetent, selfish P.D. Detective named Dazzle Novak as he paroles various investigations across a neon futuristic cyberpunk city called Moonbeam City. While the show does have an interesting concept on paper. Unfortunately, it falls flat with its hit-or-miss jokes, forgettable plots, one-dimensional characters, and most insulting, Dazzle is way too similar to Archer, both appearance and personality. The shows lack of originality is what ultimately got it canceled and became one of Comedy Central's forgotten tv failures.

No... Digimon is NOT a, "copy of Pokémon". The only reason that's even a thought is because Pokémon appeared first. Besides, even Japanese designer Kenji Watanabe said that the first Digimon were influenced by American Comics (but that's design, not the series as a whole) Both series are unique in their own ways. While Pokémon is focused on the more, lighthearted adventures (good guys always win kinda thing) and the softer, rounder designs, Digimon was way deeper theme wise and had way "edgier/cooler" designs. Digimon's children are WAY more relatable and realistic, (two brothers who's parents are divorced, one kid who's adopted, one kid who's sister was sick/more frail than the rest), and there are more Digimon kids than Pokémon kids, so there's more story that can come from the group. The damn series went to later on tackle fucking depression, isolation and loneliness. (Two different Digimon series back to back actually) Both are their own damn series. You're just more likely to find Pokémon than Digimon, like-Mario to Sonic. Mario is simple, round, colorful, cute, fun, the whole family knows it. Sonic, is the more story driven, more character diverse "edgier/cool" counterpart. Ultimately, if y'all are saying that Digimon copied Pokémon, you may as well just say EVERY "monster" tamer series copied off of Pokémon...😑 Yu-Gi-Oh, Beyblade, Dinosaur King, Bakugan, Monster Rancher, Yōkai Watch, Zatch Bell-there are many series with a similar CONCEPT, but the execution is so different, that you can't call ANY of them copies of one another.. Even Dual Masters is the "Pokémon" of the monster card game to Yu-Gi-Oh, with how the show is just about a card game, while the latter focuses on darker themes and involves a possessed child..

It's okay but one critique: digimon is not a copy or ripoff of pokemon. Digimon was a game BEFORE pokemon,as they're based on Tamagochi. Not to mention both shows tones are VASTLT different. The only similarities are that they're monster of the week animed. Where pokemon sees a boy trying to train pokemon to be the best and catching them. 0:26 no, it’s not. Digimon was made by Bandai to capitalize on the "Tomagatchi" digital pet craze of the 90’s. On top of that, digimon speak our language, Pokémon don’t. Digimon can evolve and change back, Pokémon can’t. Digimon save the world multiple times, Pokémon is about catching as many monsters as you can. In Digimon only a select few can get Digimon, Pokémon are treated like slaves. So to say Digimon is a rip-off of Pokémon is wildly inaccurate. Go check yourself Ms. Mojo. On top of that, Digimon season 3 had one of the best writing teams ever (the guy who made the story for Kingdom Hearts wrote season 3). So yeah, don’t ever say that again; Digimon is NOT and never will be an imitation of Pokémon.

TBH, this wouldn't be the first time rip-offs have been made, but from what has happened in the past, the production studios just got on with their work and thrived on the competition. However, if the producers of Bluey and the audience are so concerned that Chip Chilla maybe ripping them off, then they should take it through the civil court system as well as make copyright charges. That way justice can be done if there is indeed justice to be served - whilst if this just remains in the sphere of public opinion, then it will just escalate a situation that was unnecessary.

I’d say Chip Chilla is a rip off mix between Bluey as well as Lilo & Stitch. It tries to follow the same dynamic & art style as Bluey, but the character designs look similar to Stitch and his cousins. As for Coconut Fred - that’s just weird (Spongebob at least has a little charm to it). All the other shows are perfectly legit in their own right.
