As someone who suffers from mental health issues, I'm sick of seeing people use "mental health issues" as an excuse like they shouldn't be culpable. Take responsibility for your actions, no matter the hand you've been dealt. It's called growing up and being responsible.

As someone also with mental health issues, I'm sick of people & especially the media confusing mental health and cruelty. They are two drastically different things. The vast majority of people with mental health illnesses are extremely empathetic. In fact that's an actual subsection of a specific mental illness. It's infuriating and damaging for people to continue to think they are the same.
@stephencooper7459
@stephencooper7459 2 жыл бұрын
Some people externalise their mental health issues. Vast majority internalise it. Some use it as an excuse when it's not true . Sorry I was wrong because I was behaving badly would be a meaningful apology. There's a stigma with mental health , celebrity people using it as an excuse is damaging if it's not true.

And you KNOW the whole program will be all about Will Smith the year his suspension ends. He will win awards for movies he never even took part in that year. It will be all about how brave he is and how much he fought his way back to prominence and that it was a slap in the face to his career for every movie he was not nominated for. Honestly everyone in Hollywood has mental health issues. Because in order to succeed and become a megastar celebrity you have to be narcissistic and self-centered and manipulative and thus you’ll have mental health issues because your personality is such that you already can’t go get help or let yourself be held accountable. Anyone who doesn’t have that personality type won’t succeed in that type of Hollywood environment. They make their own problems. The Hollywood formula is twisted.
