Great video. I like that it's all your own footage and that you narrate the video and don't rely on robo-voice software like some similarly-themed videos.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm not a fan of those text-to-speech auto narrated videos either!

Interesting video! Durham was the biggest surprise to me. One reason that Hull property prices are cheap is that its affluent suburbs are outside the city boundary. This gets reflected in other statistics that are related to affluence too.
@brythonicman32677 ай бұрын
That's the same with Bradford as well, although within Bradford Metropolitan District, parts of Bradford are extremely expensive such as Ilkley where the average price is £511,000 and it's a sizable place as well plus Burley in Wharfedale, Bingley and Menston ect.

Carlisle's a great place to visit. close to the Lakes and the Scottish Borders, Hadrian's Wall too. However, floods seem to routine in parts of the city, so you may pay through the nose for insurance.

Notice all the poor Cities are in the North of England. Badly let down by the present Government. The money is all in the South.

North has been poor for decades. All money in the south isn’t true either. There’s no jobs or work in the likes of Cornwall or Wiltshire unless you want to work in a charity shop

The Sunderland - Newcastle rivalry actually predates the Jacobite rebellion by at least a century! Royalist forces from Newcastle met Scottish Covenanters based in Sunderland at the 1644 Battle of Boldon Hill.

What difference does city status make if you are looking for a place to live? Most people are happy to live in mere towns.

Couldn't it be said(or hasn't it been said) these cities are cheap because nobody wants to live there?
@swifts68798 ай бұрын
Depends on which. Can't say I've heard especially great things about Hull, Stoke or Preston, but many of these other cities are either lively metropolises or quaint historic towns.
@ronhall90397 ай бұрын
In a way, obviously it's supply and demand, but in the main cities are cheaper because employment is hard to come by. For example, my neck of the woods, Newcastle is an absolutely cracking place to live - if you have a job. Both of my sons have had to move south to get reasonable employment.
